Good Evening
How horrible is this wind? I was almost blown off my feet walking into Mr Ts this morning!
I have spent the day cleaning and getting the last few bits for DDs party. I have also baked loads of cupcakes and will be decorating them in the morning. DD is 8 tomorrow, my baby is growing up so quickly.
She is having a roller blading party and then we are having a traditional party tea at home with jelly and ice cream. Shes got 10 friends coming so its not a very MSE party but its all being paid for with the proceeds from our ebay sales.
I worked out today that the party bags have cost 75p each so I think thats pretty good. I am still amazed at how much money can be saved with just shopping around abit.
I had a trip to Home Bargains today and bought a few bits and pieces, it certainly pays to shop around but it's time consuming. I might try and visit once a month and stock up.
Tonight I have a date with a bottle of wine and Leonardo di Caprio (I wish) LOL
Have a great weekend xx0 -

Thanks PWPS, I didn't have too much to drink - will probably need a few tonight to recover though!
Its scary where time goes isn't it, they're babies one minute and the next they're girls with attitude. I remember the waddling stage well xx0 -
Cheers Mummytogirls and Abba, she's having a lovely day so far. Grandma and Grandad have been to visit her and spolit her rotten and now shes playing with her pressies.
I am just about finished with the cupcakes and they are looking gorgeous (if I do say so myself). I am just going to start on making the party food and will then get birthday girl glammed up ready for the roller blading! I just hope none of them break anything!
Will catch up later and report back.
Have a good day xx0 -
Good Evening
DD had a fantastic party _party_, thankfully none of them broke any bones but have gained a few bruises. All the girls were really well behaved and my house is still in one piece. The party food went down well, DS and his friend managed to finish everything off so nothing has gone to waste.
We are having a pizza and bottle of wine tonight or maybe two (well I have earnt it) lol. Then its a night of tv and will watch CSI New York with the rather tasty Flack, mmm he's lurvely. I am not really man obsessed I just appreciate nice looking, dark haired men LOL!!
Wine is calling me....................0 -
Well done you Choogirl and happy birthday to your DD. Sounds like a brill day all round for everyone. Lots of hard work but worth it in the end.
My DSs are now 21 and 23 and sorry to admit i have 3 lovely grandchildren, they are wonderful and as you say time goes by in an absolute flash, you can never replace that time when they are little. But days like you had today they will remember for the rest of their lives. My two still talk about their birthday parties which were not flash but more traditional than anything else, lots of sleepovers and trips out then traditional party food at home, with DVDs etc. The old things are still appreciated!!
Hope you are now relaxing with large glasses of wine and putting your feet up, sound slike you deserve it.
