    Morning

    I am so tired again!

I had a very strange dream last night I dreamt that I had fallen down a cliff and was clinging on and trying to find a way up. The tide was coming in and it was just reaching my feet when I found a way up and as I was making my way up my DB gave me his hand and pulled me up even though he was just a child.
It must be a sub-conscious thought that things are looking better and I can do this.

Right thats too deep and meaningful for 8am time to go and sort the kids out. I still need to make the pack ups as I was too knack**ed last night

DH has just made my blood boil, he has just mentioned that he might go and buy the coat that he saw in a sale that costs £150 I know he has got £70 available so I questioned where he was going to get the other £80 from. His reply - Don't know, my reply was if you get the coat that will be £80 less towards debt repayments this month. He has got a winter coat which is a few years old but will do for this winter. Just when I think the penny has dropped with him he throws comments like that into the mix :mad::mad:

It makes me so mad I'm trying my best to get the shopping within budget and doing surveys which are taking forever to pay out and he mentions new coats. I suppose I should console myself with the thought that he didn't just go and buy it. :(

  • aw choogirl, it's mad isn't it, women get a hard time for supposedly being obsessed with spending money on shoes and handbags and in our cases men are the ones not playing ball!

my ex fiance was very similar, no matter how many times we went through the fact that I was on a budget, or worse still, he was on a super budget, he was/is still over frivolous with money. It's so frustrating being the one who has had the LBM and is trying to stay on the straight and narrow

keep up the good work though, tempting though it must be to throw in the towel or fall off the wagon.

Sounds like you are working very hard for your exams too. I used to hate missing out on the snooker as I was always revising during the World Championships over the May bank holidays :rotfl: but it was so worth it when I got the email through that said I had passed. I really admire you keeping at it with little ones and those dastardly pack ups to contend with  bet that cat will find himself in a butty one day near exam time!

take care and hope you can get a bit of relaxing in at the weekend x

    Thanks Abba1772

Iceland is the other side of town to me but might try and see if I can incorpoate it into my daily commute. I like Home Bargains as well might try there for a look, I was also going to check out Farmfoods as well.

Yes DH has really knocked his spending on the head but he had this momentary lapse of concentration the coats probably gone now anyway.

Thanks for the lovely kind words of encouragement they brought tears to my eyes. It amazes me how much support there is on here and I think myself very lucky to have all this support from yourself, Abba, Boysma, Pennywisepoundstupid and Mummytogirls. I certainly couldn't do it otherwise x

Have a good weekend yourself I am just going to catch up with everyones diaries whilst DH and kids are out :)

    Afternoon

A quick update from little ole me!

Paid my debts this morning and I have now broken into the £9k barrier its amazing that at my LBM back in September 2010 the starting debt was £13k so feeling quite pleased with myself.
DH showed an interest in what I was doing this morning as well which makes a change, although he was shocked when he added up the credit card statements and they totalled £10670. However I consoled him with the fact that I was yet to make a payment today and now the balance is just below £10k :jStill high but getting there!

Had an interesting chat with DH about debt and he confessed that all he's bothered about is that the balance comes down he's not concerned how its done etc as he knows that I can take care of it  It would be nice if he could take more interest.

I really need to get a filing system sorted out for all the paperwork - another job to add to the list!

Have a good weekend everyone xx
