I don't see why they sent such a low amount of promo stock to the stores. Obviously a game worth £19.99 for £1.35 is going to fly out quickly!

Which it did. It took 7 minutes for mine to sell out and not many customers getting it so can only imagine how low stock was

I think the 2nd edition is the newer one
  • Thanks to dtaylor21184 I have a game upstairs waiting to be wrapped. I am unable to drive atm due to medical issues and would have found it very difficult to be there at 10am on public transport. I got there at 2:30 and the 5/6 games my store had had were gone hours ago. The game cost me £4.70 (paper + bus fare) excluding the shoes i just had to buy in the new look sale next door to argos.
    Thank you dtaylor21184.

2nd edition is the newer and latest (non-themed) version - supposedly with a simpler set of rules for playing it.

    The 2nd edition contains only 1 die - a combined 1 to 6 and 3 colours cube

The original contains 2 dice - 1 for the colour selection and another for 1 to 6

My hubby went yesterday to pick up and we had an iphone reservation kindly done by a fellow mser, but first he asked for the game with just the voucher and the sales guy said that they'd been inundated and they have non.

So my hubbie said he had a reservation number and he said oh well thats ok then and gave us one. We got the 1st edition i think as we have 2 dice.

So he had them to give out but said he didn't

Thanks OP and iphone reserver x
  • I think lessons will have been learnt by Express newspapers, Hasbro and Argos for what can only be a farce.

Firstly to have 2 versions of the same game, 1st and 2nd. The 1st being the paid for version which did result in may Argos staff giving this out as there was little briefing to Argos staff.

Secondly by picking a retailer which used online reservations led it being abused. Especially as the only application which allowed you to use it was the Iphone/Ipad. This led to multiple reservations by the same person and allowed them to pick up at their leisure throughout Sunday. Look at Ebay, one guy has got 4 on for sale!!!

For a big promo like this it should have been a retailer like Toys R Us or W H Smiths who dont do online reservations and be a turn up and queue.
