every time there's a good deal or freebie, there's some who are lucky and nab it, some who aren't

the only thing i think unfair is the anomaly of only being able to reserve on iphone, argos should not have allowed that to happen

it has meant a lot of wasted journeys and disappointment for some folks, but then nobody was forcing people to go to argos on sunday, most people who went along for one of these probably arrived expecting to be disappointed, i know i was very surprised when i got one. any time i have gone to get a freebie from a newspaper that was available in whsmiths, they have always run out by the time i get there, so why anyone expected this to be any different i do not know...

I think lessons will have been learnt by Express newspapers, Hasbro and Argos for what can only be a farce.

Firstly to have 2 versions of the same game, 1st and 2nd. The 1st being the paid for version which did result in may Argos staff giving this out as there was little briefing to Argos staff.

Secondly by picking a retailer which used online reservations led it being abused. Especially as the only application which allowed you to use it was the Iphone/Ipad. This led to multiple reservations by the same person and allowed them to pick up at their leisure throughout Sunday. Look at Ebay, one guy has got 4 on for sale!!!

For a big promo like this it should have been a retailer like Toys R Us or W H Smiths who dont do online reservations and be a turn up and queue.

Why, because you did'nt get one?

If it was ToysRus then they would have sold out within the first 5 minutes anyway. So at least with Argos alot of us managed to get one (by reserving it) and collecting it when we had the time.

I have a reservation code for the last one in Argos in Wolverhampton if anyone can use it? I won't get chance to get up there now. Valid till the end of today.

    Hi

I really like this game, well designed and excellent fun, there are no tiny little bits or counters (which my kids always loose) my four yr old got really excited and decided the best way for him to find objects was to sit on the boards. Anyway I would not have purchased this but now having played this I would have purchased it.

    Regards nilrs

My hubby went yesterday to pick up and we had an iphone reservation kindly done by a fellow mser, but first he asked for the game with just the voucher and the sales guy said that they'd been inundated and they have non.

So my hubbie said he had a reservation number and he said oh well thats ok then and gave us one. We got the 1st edition i think as we have 2 dice.

So he had them to give out but said he didn't

Thanks OP and iphone reserver x

That happened to me too yesterday, I reserved it and when I got to the till with newspaper voucher the cashier shook her head before I even had time to ask. After producing the reservation confirmation email I was given one. Thanks again to the OP :T

No, I was told by the sales staff the free 2nd Edition is the older version.
Cant be...cos on the back of the 2nd edition box it tells you it can be played on its own,or in combination with the 1st original edition.
