Well I think I was possibly the first to spot the iPhone glitch but I spent around two hours helping others by reserving them sorry if you don't feel reserving them was fair but at the end of the day I helped a lot of people get the game and i had to give up my time to do it I gained nothing by helping others get this other than the knowledge I did a good thing. Obviously I'm an iPhone owner and I have a 1 year old and I'm 34 weeks pregnant and was up and had got the paper and outside Argos at 10 to collect mine I never took advantage of being able to collect at anytime because I'd reserved it. I don't think the iPhone comment is fair either just cos you own one doesn't make you rich and if I was rich surely that makes me a decent person to have helped others for no personal gain, I could have ordered one myself gone and got it and thought ha ha stuff you no iPhone lot but I didn't. Just my opinion I'm not having a go but I bet well over half the people on this thread wouldn't have got one for their kids if it hadn't been for me and the other iPhone owners on here.

i agree dtaylor, I gave up alot of time and helped alot of grateful people get the games for their kids, i had nothing to gain by this, I didnt even manage to get one myself but figured I could do a good thing and help others. Then people come on here saying that we have been greedy by reserving them and that we couldve bought the game full price as we have an iphone?!?!
makes you wonder why people are like that?!?
im happy in the knowledge that i helped some lovely people get the game and they were very grateful and nice so who cares what the jealous lot think!

don't you sometimes wonder Kate0208 and dtaylor why you try to help?
sure those you did help are really grateful and I hope it doesn't stop you helping others in future :T

How come you didn't get one yourself Kate?

For the record i reserved one myself as i was going to travel to the store (quite far away) however the car failed its mot (see not luxury lol) and didnt get out of the garage so i was no longer able to travel to the store and get it and there is no way of cancelling so someone else could get it so i offered up my reservation on here. so i had a genuine reason, i wasnt greedy and i didnt set out to deprive anyone.

Well I got a lot of pms from the people I helped yesterday and that was a lot of people everyone thanking me and saying how grateful they was to have had someone help them get this for their family. So to be honest that is worth more to me than a select few saying it was wrong to reserve them

I missed this totally unfortunatly :(

but have just read bits of this thread and think its lovely of the mser's/op's who helped other mser's/op's! :T

thats what this whole site is about isn't it? yes a bit frustrating for those of us that don't have an iphone but thats the way it goes, same difference to those who say don't have a local mr.ts for dtd/1p bargains or a car to go and grab some of these bargains posted! frustrating for them.

we just have to get what we can and continue to post and HELP others!! :D

after all it's what makes the world a happier place and yes I would of loved to get this game too,but my own silly fault because I did read about it when first posted but totally forgot about it yesterday! :o doh! but I am pleased for those that got it with help from fellow mser's! :D

and don't forget those that missed out and didn't have use of an iphone would you of known about this offer if it hadn't of been posted on here? I know I wouldn't of!

hi colly yep fifi is right
didnt get mine as car was not allowed out of the garage as it failed its mot (very annoying as cost lots of money we dont have to fix a problem im not sure it even had.....grrrr bmw rip off's) anywho i would have got to the putney one and collected my reservation but alas it wasnt meant to be :(
however it didnt stop me helping others as many people did and made my day getting a few lovely messages of thanks and knowing there will be some happy families at xmas playing traditional board games together!! love it!!
i dont think it will stop me helping others but it does make me wonder why people are so negative all the time. every single good deal, glitch or freebie there is always someone really complaining and i just feel its unneccessary - one day companies will stop doing these things altogether as so many people complain, and that would be a shame.
im happy for everyone who got one tho and my eyes are peeled on this board for the next good deal!! see you all on that thread me thinks ;)

If people reserved are they still being able to pick the game up today?

No, the coupon was only valid yesterday which was a complete disaster because I trudged 15 miles in the snow today to get to my nearest Argos (because my chauffeur didn't arrive in my Bentley), then my black American Express card got refused because it had too much credit on it! Gutted!

I love the generalisations some people make on here! ;)

    Just out of interest ....

... did anyone try (and succeed ?) to pick up a RESERVED one yesterday ?

3 store managers told me that this was DEFINITELY NOT going to happen
