Monty also seems to please the Barmy Army.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0

Just shows England's strength in depth, I shudder to think how many wickets Swann would have taken by now had he not had an attitude problem over 10 years ago and become an England regular, maybe it was just a case of overconfidence seen as arrogance, he does come across that way but he can back that up now with his figures.0

Impressed by the Barmy army singing Joy division.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Found this news story quite humourous:
http://www.skysports.com/cricket/ashes/story/0,26376,12340_6572988,00.htmlIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
The latest from the Barmy Army apparently (to 'Don't Look Back in Anger' obviously):
Slip inside Ricky Ponting’s mind
He’s trying to find
Some new players to play
He wants to play his older team
But that’s just a dream
They’re too old to play
He said he’d start a revolution in his head
But he’s been through all the players A to Z
Now there’s just a summertime of doom
If he loses the Ashes race
He is going to lose his place
Losing three would simply tear his heart out
So Ricky can wait
Shane Warne is too late
And there’s no Glenn McGrath
Gilchrist’s had his day
And don’t look back to Langer
He cannot play0 -
The aussies won't be picking Warney now, not content with shafting England when he was playing he is too busy with posh English totty0

As the Telegraph commentary put it, "England are doing to Australia what Warney's been doing to Liz Hurley".
Australia were shocking: very, very poor. If Strauss and Cook can score a boundary tomorrow morning they will have scored in their partnership what the Aussie top 4 managed between them.
England's bowling (apart from Anderson who looked tired) was good but not great for the most part. The one thing it had was great discipline. They didn't give away a wide or no a ball in the entire innings. Extras were just 3 leg byes.
It's getting embarassing now. It's like playing in the park with your little brother's friends. England should declare on 350 or Cook should retire 'hurt' once he gets his century or something. I don't know if I can watch another 600/2 declared or something.
But then on further consideration..............:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

It looked to me that they were just bowling and waiting for the batsman to get himself out, rather than anything else.
When your captain and vice captain just give their wickets away without much of a fight, any team will be in trouble.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
