    2 days & 4 wickets?

Looks like game over to me.

Minus Harris and his fracture = 3 wickets

All over in an hour at most.

It will be a case of spot the Aussie in the crowd tomorrow, not many will want to witness another humiliation :o

Slightly O/T I know but still on the subject of cricket and watching the other test match taking place, arent't south african women the most gorgeous on earth ? wow, there are some real stunners in the crowd or is it just a ploy by the tourist board to lure single guys :p

Also, why don't the Indians want to use the review system, Steyn had a nailed on lbw decision turned down, yet the umpires can still check a dismissal again to see if there has been a no ball :(

Looks like we'll be setting them a lead of 400 or thereabouts with 2.5 days to get them out. Things are so desperate, the Aussie commentators are playing 'Fantasy Save The Game', ie which players would you want to have on your side in this position.

They've come up with Langer, Boycott and Bill Lawry so far. AFAICS none of those names feature on the score card in this match.

To win the match, Australia will have to bowl out England before lunch (possible) score 500 at 100 runs a session (unlikely) and then bowl out England for less than 100 in 2 sessions (LOL!).

I guess you are on holiday at the moment, your workmates must be well chuffed that they don't have to listen to ''the automated wicket announcer?'' icon7.gif

I have been providing a free SMS service over the Christmas holiday. It's a chore quite honestly but only especially hard work when the Aussies are batting.

If memory serves, Aus have bowled Eng out 4 times in 4 tests now. One required a hatrick from a second string bowler and once was for in excess of 500 runs.

Can't bowl, can't bat. The wicket keeper is pretty decent IMO.

Yesterday & the forthcoming days would've been fun days to walk into the office though.:D

Looks like a very short amount of sms updates remain, followed by at least a years gloating.:D

The sports analysts I was watching this morning were comparing Aus to the nadir in Windies cricket. Said that now talented sportsmen from Caribbean end up in US college programmes to play basketball etc and the interest is no longer there.

What's keeping the next gen (sorry pun intended) of Aussie cricketers away from the game?

There is still a lot of cricket being played over here and I think it'll come back. There is some good young talent out there, the trouble is developing a good side when you have a great one. Who was going to come through as a spinner while Warne was bowling or as a strike bowler while they had Lee and McGrath? Despite what the English 'experts' will tell you, the equivalent of the county game in Aus is in at least as bad shape here as county cricket is in England and Wales.

The sports really under the cosh IMO are footie (rugby league) and rugby (union). They are basically being supplanted by soccer or 'wogball' as it is called by the charming racists in this country. Mums don't want their kids coming back from sport on a Saturday afternoon with a broken collar bone any more. It used to be a part of childhood.

What about AFL? Last time I saw part of a match (briefly) it appeared to be more violent than either proper rugby or the other one with not enough players ;-)

The only rule I recollect noticing was what a quick google now tells me is called a "mark", other than that it appeared to be pretty well a free-for-all scramble for the ball with anything-goes.

I don't know much about AFL TBH. It's mostly played in Victoria whereas I live in NSW.

It is played in NSW to about the same extent as rugby league is played in London, ie it exists but not much.
