Straingely enough Squizz - someone emailed round today saying they were getting rid of a piano for £100....... :p

    Cheery! Naughty! :)

Actually, Squizz, the economics presenter on BBC breakfast brought his guitar in and was playing all sorts of stuff ... he was really good. You never know where a good guitar - or a good piano - will take you :)

Hehe.. actually, one went on eBay for £50 the other night.. not that I was looking or anything... anyway, I'm not buying any instruments today :rotfl:

Last night mostly did some essay, whilst witnessing 'mouse wars'... there had been a 'mouse incident' late on Sunday night, another one while I was at work yesterday, and then two more (plus a near miss) in the evening.. delightful! Think our resident few mice must have been breeding as we've never seen that many before... :-/ So all a bit gruesome!

Today - work, as ever, bit more of application form, and second job 'event' thingy in the evening so won't be home till about 9ish. Get a free tea though :D

Free tea is good but  to the mouse wars. They're not in the house, are they?

Afraid so.. at least one of those was caught in the house when the back door was shut, although we've mostly seen them outside. It's all a bit horrible but I suppose at least the cat is keeping them under control.. and it might save us a bit in biscuits - maybe she's picked up on the self-sufficiency theme?! :rotfl:

Thanks Souk x You know when you can see what things could be like.. but you're not quite there yet?

Of course I could just make my fortune writing about how to make your cat self-sufficient! :D

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn. Hmm am a bit sleepy this morning. Straight from work to second job 'event' last night, which was really good - met a few people involved with the scheme who I'd not met before, including some of the teenagers who were just brilliant. And the food was great. I got a special mention for 'holding things together' while other people were off :o and an offer of lots of work over the next year :D Lots of exciting things going on, and on the money front just over £300 a month is guaranteed for the next year.. possibly more!

Have done the bulk of application form although still floundering with it a bit. Also got a week to finish essay and about 1500 words to write.. eurgh. Oh well, weekend starts tomorrow.. maybe, finally, actually going camping for a night or two, and then will get on with the other stuff!

That sounds great, the event :)

I see why you spend a lot of time reading and whatnot tho - even with the amount you do, you've only got a week to do that essay? Yikes ... I hope you *do* manage to get away camping. I remember going to your city years and years ago, to visit a horseriding scheme for people with mental handicaps (I was the finance bod from Head Office :) ) and being absolutely astonished how near and how *wild* all the greenery was. Lovely.
