Re the jobs - can you contact them and say 'I'm really interested - but my strengths are x,y and z and they're spread across 3 different jobs - which would you recommend I apply for, or would you consider changing the roles around a little for the right person?'0 -
That's an idea..
It does say you can apply for more than one role on the same form and the jobs kind of overlap and need to cover for each other... so yep.. hmmmm....
I've just bought a piccolo by the wayDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
oooh! What fun!0

Yep, bought it off ebay and hoping to pay for it with this week's batch of ebay sales.. it cost me the grand total of.. £25 (including postage!) Looks a bit ancient but OK for fiddling (well high pitched tootling) about on. Talking of which I have a strange desire to buy a very cheap violin (if I can find one!)...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

OK, I've made a start on the application form. I've written a lovely statement about why I want the job, put in my current/ past experience and made a start on the 'how I meet the criteria' thingies.
I've also done some sums...
Current money
In bank £500
On card £100
Job 2 £500 (due on Friday)
£1100
Still to pay
Debt £320
Phone £15
Badminton £18 (3 weeks at £6)
Farm £124
£477
Balance £623
Amazon/ eBay sales supporting not entirely necessary tootling and other music-related purchases
In (as at today, various things listed this week so I expect this to go up a bit)
Amazon £12
eBay £8
£20
Out (as of now, before I get tempted by more random instruments on eBay)
Flute carrying case £5
Silver polishing cloths £2.50
Piccolo £25
Erm... violin £36
£68.50

:rotfl:I think that would take a lot of catching up (I love your instrumenty house though).. although after I started looking on eBay, Mr S started doing the same and I suspect that there may be a few additions to the guitar collection soon too :rotfl:He still insists we don't have room for a piano though.. so I've definitely not been looking at them, honest...

Piano's? I have visions of a band at yoursBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
