my friends with 2 girls are always asked if they want a boy next time, and i get asked if i want a girl (i have 2 boys). my sis has 3 boys. my gran has 9 great grandchildren and they are all boys :rotfl:

i have an aunt and an uncle who are younger than i am, so they were born being my aunt and uncle. aunt was a great-aunt at the grand old age of 23! we all had children at similar times and i don't know what relationship their children are to mine so we just say they are cousins, but the babies are actually my cousins rather than my son's cousins.

Strange I never have then  Maybe it's because I made it clear I was sooooo happy to have 2 girls.

It is lovely having girls though. I'm glad both of mine were girls now.

BS My mum always said exactly the same, she has 3 of us girls and often says she's glad she never had to cope with boys, especially after our dad left and she had to bring us up on her own.

My mum had a saying which was something like 'when a girls in trouble you have to guess it and you dont find out the truth till it's too late but when a boys in trouble the Police come and tell you about it'. I don't know how much truth there is in that

2 years between my 2 boys, strangely they were both due on the same date, one was 3 weeks early one was 6 weeks early, knew neither would be born on 14th of February. Both unplanned, on the pill both times, sods law ? but wouldn't swap them for the world. I was 'NO KIDS TIL 30+' but then it happened and as I found out properly when I was 5 months pregnant with the first any other decision was taken away from me really.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • My girls are 4, 3 ( on Monday!) and 5 months. The older two have a very much love/hate relationship. They play really nicely together and egg each other on all the time. They both adore their younger sister and are very protective over her. We are going to try for another baby soon and everyone keeps saying I bet you want a boy next but I think I would find it really strnage having a boy in the house! My oh has to sit in the garden with the rabbit for male company at the mo!

DD is 8 tomorrow, DS was 5 in July so 2 years and 9 months almost to the day. Glad I have one of each and won't have any more - sent Mr O in to be "snipped" a couple of years ago because I thought that in a moment of madness at some point in the future I may want another one. MY auntie had 5 girls trying for a boy, and my cousin had 4 boys trying for a girl. I am happy with what I have, wanted a girl first wasn't that bothered about the sex of baby no 2, BUT if he had been my first he would have been an only child!! Boys are a lot more hard work than girls. (in my experience anyway) however when DD gets older she will no doubt be a lot more hard work than DS with mood swings, boyfriends, pregnancy worries (mine not hers) Wouldnt be without either of them though.
