I'm sorry that you're missing your sons...it must be tough but just think ahead to the wonderful new life you're mapping out for yourself and your family, which you'll achieve with dignity and a definite sense of pride - what could be better than that?
Here's to a successful week of ebay sales/profit resulting in a mahoosive Christmas fund for you and the boys:D:D:D

Morning everyone, hi nattypants!
I didn't ebay anything last night, I started knitting and got carried awayI will make a special effort tonight though. I've raised about £320 so far, with about 10 items ending tonight, so fingers crossed for a good Christmas.
Unfortunately, I really do have to work today which is why I've been up since a ridiculous hour on a Sunday morning.
I'm very annoyed with Barclays Bank this morning. H and I had a joint account with them, it only had about £40 in it, it was one of those accounts you open and then forget all about, so I followed my Sol's advice and tried to have it closed.
I visited the local branch in my lunch hour a couple of weeks ago, and was told by the young man behind the counter that he "can't do that sort of thing" and that I had to make an appointment and go back the next day to see someone who could. I also had to get H to sign a letter of consent agreeing to the account being closed.
I did all this, and on my third visit to the Bank (not in the same town) I was assured that the account was now closed.
I've just had a look at Barclays online and surprise surprise the account is still active. Unbelieveable :mad::mad:
Right, I've had my rant for this morning, I'd better get the hair straighteners out (I wonder how much power they use??).Total debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00 -
I just wanted to say that you are amazing, it takes alot to leave, My mum was with my dad 35 years, for the sake of the kids, hr life only started once she left, and as her child i Sometimes feel, if it was no for us she would have had a chance at a life, you have doen the right thing for you , and your kids. And you are moving in the right direction.
I followed in my mums footsteps, but am now single and even now I have to remind myself that i have no one to answer to.
Good luck with everything, I hope you dont mind if I follow you, I dont keep a diary on here but I blog, andi know how theraputic it can be getign everything down on paper so to speak, plus it keeps me accountable to myself0 -

Have you thought about a car boot sale for the spring?Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hi knithappens, karom, nattypants and Mrs Porridge thanks for saying hi.
Knithappens - I stayed with H for almost 22 years because of the boys. My boys are my life, and as you say your mother stayed married even longer she must feel exactly the same about you. I know what you mean about not having to answer to anyone. I went from an 18 year old living at home to a married mum in a matter of months, so I'm finding it really odd being able to come and go as I please. Its funny, I thought I'd be out every night but I'm quite happy staying home, but of course not having much spare cash also has a lot to do with that.
Its been a really quiet day at work today, so I've been able to do the Christmas rota. I've put myself in to work between Christmas and New Year, so one of the others can have a nice long break. I'll probably take a weeks holiday in January to make up for it
We had a woman in the shop today with a gorgeous Kath Kidson handbag (AND she had the matching purse!)....I had an acute attack of handbag envy, but I really don't need any new bags.
Right, I spose I'd better go and look busy. Hope everone's having a good SundayTotal debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00 -
