My first xmas fair is coming up now in a couple of weeks and I was wondering where the best place to get cellophane cheaply to wrap mini xmas puds & cakes/muffins.
Also I want to make some snowman cookie lollypops and was wondering how would be best to wrap them ideally a narrow bag to slip over the top and tie with a ribbon underneath.
I want to make some truffles/sweeties but I am a bit stuck on how to present them, I looked at little boxes but they were so expensive I wouldn't have made any money on them- any ideas?
Lastly I was thinking about bakery style bags for loose xmas biscuits etc, if anyone knows where I might be able to find those cheaply. I would really appreciate any suggestions from you pros!!!0 -
I get all my cellophane from ebay, and have had it arrive within 3 days (but beware that the snow may stop people getting to post office) how about the card cellophane bags for your cookie lollipops? umm boxes for homemade truffles . . . im sure on the site there are templates you can print out and then cut from card?SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000

oh forgot to say, if you concerned about the boxes for truffles not being food quality as you've made them yourself you could line the box with greaseproof paper and seal it over the top of the trufflesSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000

Thats great thanks for those ideas, I hadn't thought about making the boxes myself- that would be much cheaper! I think I will get on and order cellophane and card bags so they should all arrive on time! thanks for the advice0

hi dj, i usually start by putting 'craft fairs in ***** (town where i live)' and see what comes up. I also check the websites for the local village and town community halls as they might not come up but usually have fairs during the year.
Selling wise, i make my own jewellery and cards but other ideas are the baby cakes/cupcakes (if you gogle baby sock cupcakes there is a template for a carrdboard oven to put the cupcake in so its a 'bun in the oven lol'. with easter coming now youcan make reindeer flannels into bunny flannels, things like that
good luck with your fairsSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
