    wow thats fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jakes-mum sounds like we both had a better fair this weekend.

I just need to find a somewhere that would like to stock my items, although I am thinking of changing the type of items that I sell. I have a few nappy and pamper cakes made up but no one is really interested.
Might have a go at jewellery, any tips for a beginner??

Giggle - Do you have shops that stock your nappy cakes etc?

It certainly does which has filled me with confidence that maybe it isnt that my items are rubbish but I just had a bad fair looool

I highly recommend having a go at jewellery making as it is soooo much fun and if you dont like the colour combination you can just take it apart and start again :D when I started out I bought some pliers, a few necklaces, some ear wires, 2" pins and a few packs of beads off ebay to have a play about.. Probably spent about £20 on stuff. I did buy sterling silver ear wires and necklaces as im allergic to silver plated so if you went for silver plated it would be cheaper. DOnt make the mistake I did first time and buy sterling silver pins! totally unneccesary as they dont go through the ear looool!
If you put in BOGOF beads on ebay it comes up with loads of people offering buy one get one free on like 20g of coloured beads.

Anything else i can think of? ummm oh seed beads the larger the number (e.g will be written 11/0 etc) the smaller the bead. 6/0 = 4mm bead, 11/0 = 2mm bead so very very small!

thanks jakes-mum I think I will have a go. I have found a book called jewellrey making for dummies, which sounds like it would suit me down to the ground. So might buy that and then have a look at getting some supplies from ebay.

A good fair has definatley boosted my confidence as well, its just Im not sure what to do with the Christmassy bits that are left over.

Think I may call a couple of shops to see if they are interested in stocking my Nappy Cakes, worst they can say is no thanks!!

my left over christmas decs are going on my tree much to my kids delight :D the 1 remaining reindeer and gift set and the table centre pieces will go in a box in the loft till next year as they arnt going to spoil before then. The 2 flower arrangements are staying out, the one with the butterfly is going on my table this christmas unless someone from folksy buys it ^^ the other is being given to my nana for christmas as I havent got her a gift yet and to be honest she never wants anything any of us buy so i think she would appreciate a flower arrangement that can go on the side and wont die!

Well thats unless my fabulous mother can get someone to agree to take them and sell them in their shop looool

I am taking the few bits I have left to my SLimming World Class tomorrow night, and also putting a couple in the sandwich shop that stocks my cards, so hopefully may clear a few bits. The worry is the nappy and pamper cakes, these cost me quite a bit to make up but only sold 1! I have e-mailed 2 gift shops and 2 florists today to see if they would be interested in stocking them
    Fingers crossed!!!
Definatley going to think about Jewellery Making, there just seems a lot of people around doing it at the minute.
I would love to find something to do that I love doing (I love all the crafty things) but also that will sell well. (I have a wedding to pay for next year!!!)
Feeling a bit confused at the mo, dont know what to do for the best!!!!

At the craft fair i did yesterday there was 4 of us selling jewellery and none of us had a remotely similar style! I was very delicate sterling silver, the lady next to me was silver plated hello kitty chains and big beaded laced necklaces, the young girl opposite was fresh water pearl bracelets and the lady behind me was pandora style! so even though we made up half the stalls that were there we weren't really competing with each other. Everyone has a style they like and between the 4 of us we must have covered most tastes, only thing that I could think of that wasnt covered was button necklaces (which secretly I would LOVE to have a go at but hubby might freak if i start any more projects with no craft area :rotfl:)

Always happy to spend other peoples money loool! When you look at pliers, get a pair that have round tips but also a wire cutter built close to the handle as they arnt much more expensive and the wire cutter bit will be needed i promise! no point buying 2 separate pairs!!
