Sunday is getting closer and I feel like I still have loads to do.......
I bought a set of 15 battery lights today at a shop called Family Bargains. They were 99p - I thought they were white but they are a lovely bright red! Very Christmasy!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

I think that you are doing a great job at the craft fairs everyone, this thread is great. I fancy doing one but never have the nerve to. I would love to have a go next year. I'll probably be back asking lots of daft questions:hello:

I suspect it is the weather. Try not to be too disheartened, it's unseasonably cold so people not venturing out.

I haven't posted on here before, although I do have a quick look every now and again along with Flying Pig's thread, the flannel cupcake and the nappy cake threads. This is my first year of 'making' and I had my first table on Friday at a local school. £5 a table and I took £62 which I was very happy/surprised with. I haven't had time to work out how much of that is profit, but my children's things went really well, as well as pints of socks, fluffy socks in a mug, yule logs/swiss rolls and flannel reindeer.
For the kids things I've folded Fifi facecloths into a pocket shape and filled with Fifi crayons and a candy cane; done the same with other character facecloths and filled with character chocolates (the ones from B&M/Wilkos/Morrisons) and a candy cane; and also 'sweetie stockings' - mini Xmas stockings from B&M, character popping candy, 2 candy canes and haribo sweets with a character facecloth for wiping sticky faces!
I've got 2 more tables next Friday and the following Wednesday and have loads to make up again. Haven't had a go at making magic reindeer food yet - that's one of the many jobs on my list.
Edited to add: We hadn't had snow on Friday so that helped, and also nothing was priced at more than £3.50. Yule logs/flannel muffin £1; reindeer/sock cupcakes/double flannel muffin £1.50; Kids facecloth gifts/fluffy sock muffins/double sock cupcakes £2; Pint of socks/Sweetie stockings/hot choc mugs/expresso cup and saucer with flannel &mini soap £2.50; fluffy sock mugs £3 and kids mini mug gifts (mini Disney princess/Toy Story/Cars mugs filled with hair brush, hair bobbles, pencils, stamper pens, rubbers, colouring pencils, candy cane etc) £3.50. Think that everything I took!Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

Well after a 5 hour drive home to do 20 miles and only taking 30 pounds (the stall was 25) I feel like I never want to do another stall again!! Wonder if this snow will clear by next saturday, otherwise I will have loads of elf poop and snowman soup that I can't sell! Feeling rubbish!!! Sorry for the rant. XGot enagaged 2nd May 2010
