Thanks Crafty JuJu
I used ones I bought from Lakeland (prob not the cheapest) and then used a bag sealer to chop to size.
If I was to do it again, I would buy the right size bags!!!Got enagaged 2nd May 2010

I'm doing a school craft sale this weekend - i'm doing a cookie decorating stall. I'm making gingerbread & butter biscuits in the shapes of reindeer, stars & xmas trees. The kids pay for their biscuits then I provide all the things for them to decorate them with. I'm making up multi-packs of plain biscuits for the kids to buy & decorate at home. I've made up 28packs of reindeer food. (a bag of porridge oats, edible glitter and pink sugar sparkles) in paper bags - like mix-up sweetie bags. I've made some little tags with reindeer metallic confetti stuck to them and a little poem. As all the ingredients are edible I could also use it for elf/princess porridge - its should just be glittery and a little sweeter than the plain shop-bought stuff.
As its the icing that's pricey does anyone have any hints on where to get cheap toppings/decorations? So far I have:
silver balls
chocolate stars
orange & yelllow stars
hundreds & thousands
chocolate sprinkles
Any ideas where I could get some green/red sherbert or green/red boiled sweets to crush up - on the cheap.0 -
when i did my fair on saturday i had a few ladies come over and ask the price of snowman soup ect... i told them the price and they huffed and walked off,
about 20 mins later after selling a few snowman soup one of the ladies came back and said as "ive sold some so i must of put my prices down " i replied "no they are still £1.50 each " she huffed and walked off again.
Later in the day with the fair nearly over and only a few soups and makes left the ladies walked back over moaned that there was must left to choose from and bought a few soups at £1.50 each.
i stuck to my guns and refused to reduce anything and came away with a nice profit0 -

I use "Card Wallets" from the Works, 99p for 50 bags. Self adhesive too and size A6.
