Hi, great thread everyone. I made some pots of gold for ourselves last Christmas and we loved them (especially as the dogs were frightened of crackers) but I put a scratch card in each.

I want to make a few this week for a charity which is taking a stall at a craft fair, would I put a scratch card in each one, or would that be contravening some sort of gambling byelaw?

I dont think you can put a scratch card in them

Oh thanks for that. I didn't want to appear mean by not putting them in, but on the other hand I didn't want to do something which would cause grief for the charity.

** And why not make the pots of gold even lucker by adding a scratch card to them**

  • Why not approach local playgroups to sell your stock, they will probably be happy with a percentage of your takings or a small donation.
  • hi everyone,

I would love to have a stall somewhere, but not sure how to find out where to look. How do you find out where to go?

i don't have a table or a car either though, are there any that have tables already for you to just put stuff on?

    thanks for any tips!

That's a really nice idea, thanks. I will have to get one of the people manning the stall to do it as I won't be there, but I can make the tag ready for them to put on.
    :)
