Have the criteria changed since last winter?? (Please don't tell me to look in first post, my question is bit more complicated than that!
)
I am on JSA (and council tax benefit). That's all. Last winter I got two cold weather payments.
Nothing has changed. Still on JSA. But despite CWPs being triggered for my postcode this year, none paid.
Can anyone explain??? Should I not really have got them last year???The people in my life: Betty Crocker, Mr. T and Gordon (of Gordon's gin) :T0 -

The income related esa and cold weather payments £25 pw you don't get if you are in the assesment period, only if your in the support group or the wrag group.
I was recieving cwp when I was on IS with disability premium, (hrm / lrc) but I've had 2 triggers in my area not recieved anything, so rang the esa department and they explained its only when in the group.
I also if I got put into the group does the cwp get back dated and again the answer is no. Never mind that on assesment rate I lose £35 per week, thats not recoverable either.
(hope no-one else stuck in same position) xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

nothing personal that I quoted you,
just wanted to clarfiy the postion on the assesment rate of esa even if it is income related, so that it may save someone a phone call, as I spent 45 mins on hold to my DHSS office.
I'm new to all this esa and still finding my footing on it.
If I can save one person a phone call.
I see it as we're all here to help each other out.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
