  • Thanks for the replies - looks like my brother (income support with disability premium) might have missed out for some reason. Payment went into his account last year and expected the same this year.

Really?! Someone is entitled to cold weather payments but not entitled to the christmas bonus...how strange. My point still stands though that cold weather payments this year and last year are £25, they have never been £10.00. In previous years the cold weather payment was £8.50 whereas the christmas bonus has been £10.00 year after year.
There are many people who qualify for a CWP but not a Christmas Bonus. An example is someone who receives Income Support with a disability premium but who has no other benefit in payment.

When does the Site update amount of triggers you had? Its showing as 1 for me but date is 1stNov-7thDec and it has been cold always below 0. Possible it updates on a night?
It usually updates the day after the trigger has happened.

Latest DWP Cold Weather Payment information release for weather stations triggering on 7 December can be found here http://research.dwp.gov.uk/asd/asd1/socfund/sf_cold_payts_07_dec_2010.pdf

It also shows how many triggers each weather station has reported to the DWP.

The data from these stations should be showing on the postcode checker from today.
