And also, your right to be annoyed. Swap hairdressing for something suitably manly, lets say paintball ;) and in a similar position i'd be spitting feathers!!!

Although if the customer service is that bad imagine what the do's are like you've probably dodged a bullet with them not turning up!

That is exactly what I'm thinking. On the upside I did go to a FANTASTIC salon called Avant Garde on Aigburth road, they fit me in the same day and did me a full cut and colour for £46 (did my own blowdrying though, in the interest of saving money :D

    So !!!!!!! annoyed!!!!!

Booked for two haircuts, hair foil colour, nails done and blowdry with a new hairdressers in Liverpool through groupon for £35. I live in manchester and decided I'd travel up to see my cousin and have a lovely girly day out. Booked over three weeks ago for both of us and we both booked the day off work- have been looking forward to it because I've not been able to have my hair cut for ages. This was for yesterday.

Anyway, I phoned up on friday to confirm the booking and the lady said they don't open on mondays 'anymore' (im pretty confident they've not been open at all for more than 2 / 3 months) , but as she could see that someone had made the booking that she would make sure someone was there to do our hair ect as we'd booked it off work.

Saturday somebody phoned me saying they don't open on Mondays and could we rebook, I explained again that we'd both booked the day off work and that I'd paid for my train tickets, she said she would 'get back to me'. I found them on facebook when she didn't phone me and left a message asking them to give me a ring as I was worried about the apointment.

Yesterday morning we got there, I phoned from 9am- no answer, got there at 10am for the appointment, nobody there, totally locked and no answer on the phone- phoned all day just to check and because I was fumin- we'd already paid through groupon.

Log into my facebook today and I have this message from them:

    "Hello Gemma,
We have only just recieved your wall post.
Two of our hairdressers were here yesterday from 9.45 - 10.30 waiting for you and your friend (JADE ROLLINGTON)
We did try contact you on this number
    079XXXXXXXX
    but there was no answer.

    Regards
    XX XXXXXX"

For a start, thats not my cousins correct name.

    I replied saying

"Absolute b******s. We were outside at 10am, we phoned you repeatedly all day to no answer. Do NOT try that one with me.

Also, I recieved NO phone calls all day from you, and since I recieved phone calls from you on saturday saying you were 'going to get back to me' I know for a fact that had my right number.

Finally, if you check your appointment book once in a while, you'd see that her name is Jade RXXXXXXXX. Infact, if you'd have checked your appointment book in the first place you wouldn't have been in this situation."

Now I know I probably shouldn't have gone off on one but that really annoyed me.

Luckily I told another hairdresser in Liverpool my situation and she did my hair, full cut and colour four £46 but considering I'd already paid for the other one it takes the mick a bit. (But it does look fab)

Anybody know where to go from here?

    Sorry for the long rant.

You are so very rude. If someone spoke to me in the way that you have spoken to them, I know what my response would be.
    Gone ... or have I?

Yep, I'm rude, I booked an appointment with a business, I paid, I phoned to confirm, I turned up on time.

They accepted the appointment, they confirmed my booking, they didnt turn up, they didn't bother phoning, they lied to me.

    I'm the rude one.

Nope, they were the two girls outside the abortion clinic over the road, I hit that daft cow after she told me that my mum was selling herself for crack. She's not doing that at all, shes robbin debenhams for crack.

Anyway, we were the two girls in the mini skirts and thigh high white leather (PVC) boots with the heals worn down because of our weight. You must have seen us, we had huge earrings in to show everyone how rich we are (not really my boyfriend robs houses but shh), it looked beautiful, it was sunny yesterday so the gold was bouncing off our cellulite and strech marks, we looked pukka.

Infact I was on Jezza Kyle a few weeks ago you might have recognised us from that.

Bang on right GemJar. You have the right to be rude after they stood you up AND so blatantly lied AND robbed you of £35. Tsk tsk.
  • I think you have every right to be angry. They were in breach of contract. Apart from that their customer service sucks and they then have the gall to lie.

I frighten myself when I think what I would do to them.

Fortunately for me I have not had to go to a barber for quite a few years now - used to give me panic attacks at the best of times.

I hope that you get a refund (you ceratinly should).

    Good luck with it.
  • £35 for a hair cut, Freddie would be expecting something for the weekend as well for £30 more than I pay.

Really? if I had been treated like that my response would have been a lot worse than that. But perhaps losing money and time doesn't matter to you as it does to the rest of us, or are you in some way connected to the salon? She paid for a service and that is what she is entitled to. Wish I knew the name of the salon, so I could avoid it at all costs
