So !!!!!!! annoyed!!!!!
Booked for two haircuts, hair foil colour, nails done and blowdry with a new hairdressers in Liverpool through groupon for £35. I live in manchester and decided I'd travel up to see my cousin and have a lovely girly day out. Booked over three weeks ago for both of us and we both booked the day off work- have been looking forward to it because I've not been able to have my hair cut for ages. This was for yesterday.
Anyway, I phoned up on friday to confirm the booking and the lady said they don't open on mondays 'anymore' (im pretty confident they've not been open at all for more than 2 / 3 months) , but as she could see that someone had made the booking that she would make sure someone was there to do our hair ect as we'd booked it off work.
Saturday somebody phoned me saying they don't open on Mondays and could we rebook, I explained again that we'd both booked the day off work and that I'd paid for my train tickets, she said she would 'get back to me'. I found them on facebook when she didn't phone me and left a message asking them to give me a ring as I was worried about the apointment.
Yesterday morning we got there, I phoned from 9am- no answer, got there at 10am for the appointment, nobody there, totally locked and no answer on the phone- phoned all day just to check and because I was fumin- we'd already paid through groupon.
Log into my facebook today and I have this message from them:
"Hello Gemma,
We have only just recieved your wall post.
Two of our hairdressers were here yesterday from 9.45 - 10.30 waiting for you and your friend (JADE ROLLINGTON)
We did try contact you on this number
079XXXXXXXX
but there was no answer.
Regards
XX XXXXXX"
For a start, thats not my cousins correct name.
I replied saying
"Absolute b******s. We were outside at 10am, we phoned you repeatedly all day to no answer. Do NOT try that one with me.
Also, I recieved NO phone calls all day from you, and since I recieved phone calls from you on saturday saying you were 'going to get back to me' I know for a fact that had my right number.
Finally, if you check your appointment book once in a while, you'd see that her name is Jade RXXXXXXXX. Infact, if you'd have checked your appointment book in the first place you wouldn't have been in this situation."
Now I know I probably shouldn't have gone off on one but that really annoyed me.
Luckily I told another hairdresser in Liverpool my situation and she did my hair, full cut and colour four £46 but considering I'd already paid for the other one it takes the mick a bit. (But it does look fab)
Anybody know where to go from here?
Sorry for the long rant.

Haha yeah I thought that, im calm now. They're so rude though- just to lie to me when they 100% weren't there, I'm guessing they're not planning on giving me a refund anyway.0

Bad language? I'd have said a lot more than that. Bunch of bloody time wasters! I'm glad you told 'em what you really thought. Did they reply back?0

Name and shame?"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0

It mght be worth contacting Groupon to complain too. They take half the money from all offers - sothey have some of your cash anyway!0

My cousin works near there and is going in on her lunch tomorrow (she would have gone today but shes poorly with tonsilitis)- I'm going to complain to groupon tomorrow too. I shall name and shame as soon as my cousin has spoken to them tomorrow- and I WILL be putting reviews on every site I can find to possibly put reviews on. I phoned them on friday because I saw this review about them:
"29 Oct 2010Awful Went with a Groupon Voucher. The hairdresser was trying to do three peoples hair at once (to obviously save money!!!). I was left for over twenty minutes with damp hair at the sink and in total was in there for over three and a half hours. I was that fed up I refused a manicure I had paid for and walked out. The girls who worked there were nice, but it was obvious that they were employing the least amount of staff to make the most amount of money from the Groupon voucher."
(If you search that you'll probably find who I'm on about anyway) and got a little worried. Considering the amount of time I spent excited at having a lovely girly day, my hair and my nails done, and the amount of effort they put into actually opening their business, I think I have a decent right to be annoyed. Maybe even if they had just told me on Friday that it wasn't going to happen instead of telling me there would have been someone there I wouldn't be as annoyed as I am now, but whats actually happened is that they've lied to me a few times to save their own skin, and instead of ringing me and apologising, they've sent me a facebook message calling me a liar.
Edited to say I've just had a text from my lovely cousin saying that if they don't give her a full refund tomorrow, that shes going to lick all the doorknobs so that EVERYONE gets tonsilitis. I love her.

And also, your right to be annoyed. Swap hairdressing for something suitably manly, lets say paintball
and in a similar position i'd be spitting feathers!!!
Although if the customer service is that bad imagine what the do's are like you've probably dodged a bullet with them not turning up! :eek:0
