    Agree on Angry Birds, I would also get 3G Watchdog to keep an eye on your data usage and BatteryTime to keep an eye on your battery status. They are the essentials for me. The rest is things like Google Sky Maps, Shazam and many other things but they all depend on what you actually want to do.

    Set CPU (set hte CPU speed to increase battery life)

    SMSBackup (saves SMS's to Gmail account)
    Switch Pro Widget
    Titanium Backup
    TweetDeck
    Watchtower
    Wifi Analyzer
    Wordpress (create blog entries and push them from your phone)

    The "app killer" apps are less than useless, since they tend to use more battery than they save...

    I would also suggest myplayer but the previous version from !!!!!! search myplayer.apk!!! The previous version means you can watch iplayer new version doesnt.

    I keep finding more like Locater wifi hot spot thingy . Thing is with Android Market some of the apps are experimental and will never progress . But as they are free its dont cost nowt to try . I have tried a few apps and said no not fit but i will keep an eye on or look for similar . jje
