WOW!!!! What an achievement! I hope you feel amazing being CC free. :j:j:beer::beer::T:T You have worked really hard and deserve it after all the rubbish going on with ex and work.

I hope you manage to push thoughts of the ex out of your head and get back into the gym to get those positive endorphins back.

    Thinking of you....

Don't you just love Wordsmith and her anti-ex behaviours? I can almost feel her standing there with a virtual big stick ready to beat off any thoughts or actions towards the past.....
    What a giggle.

Congratulations!!! Well done on the credit card debt.

If other things are getting you down, take a minute to look at what you have achieved!! All in a few months and with everything else going on you have still done so well.

Congratulations and don't let the !!!!!!s get you down.

Hi everyone, sorry I've been awol. The work thing has been an absolute nightmare this past couple of weeks. I'm living on coffee and my nerves (not ciggies though...yay!)
Management haven't been talking to me at all, I'm not sure whether its been a deliberate decision of if they're just useless, and I've been getting more and more fraught (and angry) at the injustice of it all. Then on Tuesday, out of the blue, I got my notice of redundnacy!

Although management have been saying they'll make sure I'm okay and will do everything they can to find me a job, the only thing I have in writing is my notice - and an offer of a job 3 hours away which I had already declined. So, appeal letter, grievance and complaint all went in and finally it seems to have kicked them into gear. I've been offered an informal interview for a job next week (bit peeved I have to interview for it but they say it'll be very informal) and also have a meeting with the assistant director to discuss my grievance. The new job (should I chose to accept it...if I get offered it!) means a bit of a change in direction for my career, but the more I think about it, the more I think that might not be a bad thing. The Union have advised me not to rush a decision and if I'm honest, its a job I would never have thought of applying for, so I have to weigh up the pros and cons.

That doesn't really do justice to the nightmare of a 10 days or so I've had, but hopefully goes someway to explain what's been happening! Literally just 4 days ago I was gearing myself up to having to go to an employment tribunal - and that's still an option if I don't get/want this new job. But for now I'm at least a bit more settled that they're finally listening to me and things are moving forward.

Rest of life over past 2 weeks: diet, gym, sleeping have all failed.

    :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is okay :)

    Ooh you're back! :j

    But with bad news :(:(

Sorry to hear about your job, but like you say, at least they are now starting to take you seriously. I hope it all works out for you. Maybe this change of job will be the change in direction you were looking for?

Ooh did you get olympics tickets? I didn't apply, simply because of the distance and nightmare getting accommodation will be.

It's the weekend now, the gym is calling your name for tomorrow. :p:p

Sorry you've had such a bum time. Let's hope at the end of it you find yourself with a new job and new enthusiasm. Is the self-employed thing still on the cards if the job isn't what you want? The interview is on Tuesday, is it?

Well I went for my interview today and have been given the job. So relief on that front and actually the job is pretty much a change of direction so it might be just what I need. Had a meeting with the head of HR about my grievance on Monday as well. It was all a bit emotional but I got my point across I think, although its not actually going to change anything. Maybe its time to draw a line under it now.

I'm so so tired its ridiculous. Hopefully the ability to sleep will co,me back soon!!

Don't know about Olympics tickets yet, but money hasn't been taken so far so I'm not confident. Really haven't planned it very well though - no idea where I'll stay or who I'll even go with yet! Just knew I had to try and get tickets!
