Well I went for my interview today and have been given the job.

    Well done! Congratulations.

So relief on that front and actually the job is pretty much a change of direction so it might be just what I need.

I'm trying hard not to say it, but, sorry, can't help myself ... things always happen for a reason. As long as you are happy with the change of direction, it could work out really well. Good luck with it.

Had a meeting with the head of HR about my grievance on Monday as well. It was all a bit emotional but I got my point across I think, although its not actually going to change anything. Maybe its time to draw a line under it now.

It's hard when you feel so angry about something, but yes, it's done, it's not going to change, and now you have to deal with it and move on or let it fester, in which case only you will suffer. Sometimes life isn't fair, but just concentrate on being happy it's behind you. I know it's hard, really I do. I'm so so tired its ridiculous. Hopefully the ability to sleep will co,me back soon!!

Now the stress is over (or nearly), hopefully your body will get back to normal. Going to the gym will help.:D

Don't know about Olympics tickets yet, but money hasn't been taken so far so I'm not confident. Really haven't planned it very well though - no idea where I'll stay or who I'll even go with yet! Just knew I had to try and get tickets!

And if you do, and if you can't go, I suppose you could always sell them on ebay! I hope you work something out though, because I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience.

Good luck with the new job. Keep us posted.

    What's planned for this weekend?

Congratulations on the interview success CJ. That must be a great relief :j:j

Is the job near where you live now? Or is the move back on?

If the olympics tickets come through take full advantage of the once in a lifetime event, it will be massive. :)

Oh and the athletes will be showing you up if you don't go back to the gym :rotfl::rotfl:

sleep well and worry free now.

Thanks guys :) As much as I hate to admit it, maybe things really do happen for a reason!

The new job covers the whole County, so I could pretty much move anywhere I wanted to really (if I fancied a change). I'm based in an office about 45 mins away which is a bit of a treck, but I'll see how I get on. I feel really positive right now, I've got some confidence back and I'm really looking forward to getting on with things.

We're nearly half way through the year which is frightening, I need to get my lists and resolutions out and see what I can get on with while I'm in this frame of mind!

Oh my good grief. I've just been on the scales
Now I knew I'd kind of been stress/comfort eating and not exercising the past 2 months, but crikey. I've put all the weight I lost (plus a bit more) back on!! I thought my new smaller work clothes we getting a bit tight!

So, even though its a BH I'm going to the gym. Yes I am.
I'm going to do a proper food shop tomorrow and buy healthy things.

I've just booked some accomodation to go to Wimbledon in 3 weeks. Hurrah! Used to go down every year when I was younger but stopped a few years ago when my favourites retired. But I fancied doing something fun again this year (doesn't look like I'll get a proper holiday), so Wimbledon it is. Pretty excited now!

Also finally did my accounts and I've had a bad month. I must admit I've splurged a bit on some new clothes (but I was desperate for them!) and have been bad with my packed lunches. Pay day tomorrow and time to get back onto the MSE train. Will record all spending on my App again and remain in budget!

    :( and :j

It's good to see you back and getting back to sorting out your life, excuse the pun.

    How was the gym?

I haven't posted on my diary in a very long time, have kind of given up on it. Not on saving for a house, just on writing on the diary. So have just been lurking around other people's instead. Actually I might post a little update on their now seeing as i'm writing on yours.

Are all of your job worries behind you now?

The gym was good thanks. And I did my healthy food shop this evening. Although there's so much food in this house right now I just want to eat it all in one go! I can't decide what to have first :D

Job situation is all sorted - in that the job I did have I will never re-have and the grievance etc has been dealt with. Just waiting for a reply from my complaint about the union! New job which I'm really looking forward to ([STRIKE]and all this might have happened for a reason because its more my kind of job [/STRIKE]:p ) starts soon but I don't quite know when. I'm hoping for 1st week in July but getting any straight reply to my queries is like asking for an answer to the meaning of life in 140 characters or less ;)

How's things with you? How is the deposit fund coming along and the training?

    Sorry couldn't resist. :D

The house deposit seems to be taking an age. I'll get there eventually, but eventually is too far away for my liking. A miracle would be nice but if I'm going to do this properly and set myself up in that magical house and live an amazing single life like in the movies, then patience is required in bucket loads.

The training is going well, currently on around 4 times a week. The lighter days and nicer weather should get this hammered into my head as part of my life and routine by the time winter comes around, avoiding the same mistakes of last winter.

Remember just because something has only 100 calories you can't eat 20 of them on top of your normal meals. ;) :rotfl:

Sounds like things are moving in the right direction, copperjar. Good! Is the new job the same level as you were on before? A whole new start - exciting!
