Thanks iwah and SA
Interviuew is on Tuesday, in many ways I don't know why I'm getting so worked up, the chances of getting the job are pretty much slim to nil! I guess I just want to do my best though.
Although Feb is the shortest month, it really seems to have dragged - and I've been without money all weekend. But payday tomorrow and I can get aother big chunk paid of my CCs. I haven't had time to work out all the payments I've made this month, but I know I've made a big dent and have "only" £1400 left to pay on the Santander card. Will post a proper update when I've worked it all out.
Just one more day to stress then I'll be back posting properly again[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Think positive, I will send some of my current luck over to you
If you don't post before tomorrow, GOOD LUCK, show 'em you are the best for the job.
Hugs

Thanks SA
Not long to go now. Think my brain is totally saturated with info so it's probably best that I have a night off from it all and just relax. Easier said than done though...

Hi, Copperjar. Hope you get to sneak on the site at work sometime today, as I'm a bit late wishing you luck for your interview. Hope it goes/went well."Green pastures are before me,

Oh guys
I'm not just being negative or thinking the worst but I really let myself down today. I wasn't expecting the interview to be anything like it was (it was too informal in a way) and all the preperation I'd done wasn't relevant at all.
Things I've learnt:
I'm high as a kite and need to calm down.
I need to get more and better sleep.
I need to reduce my coffee intake!
Off out tonight to get it all out of my system, then I need to draw a line under this and move on.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Sorry you felt it didn't go well. BUT you have learnt from it, your preparation will be useful experience, and if it's not meant to be, then it's not meant to be. And you never know, they might have liked your style anyway. However, learn but do not dwell. Enjoy your night out, and be forward looking.
(Promise you won't get down about it? The right thing will come along.)"Green pastures are before me,

Hi Copperjar,
Firstly to get a positive boost on this and so its not all doom and gloom about your upset from your interview.....but.....
65% of CC and OD in 4 months! WOW!! That is excellent, well done you. It'll be gone before you know it.
Now down to the interview. Was it really that bad? or are you just being panicky and not seeing the positives from it?
Maybe your professionalism in taking it so seriously could have given you an edge. That they see how committed you are, and how hard working you are, and that you are willing to go the extra mile for them?
Also Wordsmith is right. Even if this is not the one for you, you will have gained excellent experience from it and from your posts it sounds like you have already learned alot about yourself and how you handle pressure and deal with obstacles that are put in your path.
I really hope that you are just stressing and they are able to offer you something. If not, keep going on the other ones. You can only get better as the interviews go on, refining your answers to questions etc. Something will go right for you soon.
Try and keep positive, and go and bash out your frustrations in the gym.DFD: 23/12/20100 -
Thanks to you both
I really do appreciate the support and encouragement.
I've always done well at interviews in the past, that's kind of how I know this one went so badly. I'm more embarassed really that I just didn't do myself justice, I wanted to make a good impression and have an awful feeling that I did the opposite. One thing I've definitely learnt is that I need to get a decent amout of sleep prior to the next interview. It was like my brain just wasn't functioning at its usual speed and I couldn't think quickly enough to formulate a decent answer.
Anyway, enough dwelling. Nothing I can do now.
I've been talking to my friend tonight who seems a bit concerned that my stress/anxiety levels are off the scale! She said she hasn't ever known me to be like this and its been going on since the start of the year. I need to formulate a plan to calm down! The gym definitely helps, what else can I do?
On a positive note, I had a lovely meal out and a couple of drinks, so I should sleep well tonight![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
How about just getting out to your local park or countryside for a walk? (not in the dark though, scary
)
Just getting out in the fresh air for a walk would give you tine in a relaxing environment to think and de-stress.
You have that awful sinking feeling about the interview that everyone gets after something extremely big like that. In a day or two things will shift a little and seem better once you've had time to reflect a bit.
I know you probably don't want to as you want to really make a go of the business idea, but how about easing off on that just for the rest of the week and you and your friend promising not to talk about the business, but to talk about tv or trashy celebs or books you've read instead. Just to take your minds off of all the going on with interviews and with the business. Then look at it with a fresh outlook when you've both had time to just relax a bit.
It is a very stressful time that you and LOTS of other people are going through, you aren't alone on this, and definitely won't be the most stressed and up a height person out there.
Ask for feedback after the decision on the jobs has been made (if you don't get it) the interviewers will be able to give you lots of tips that you can use for any bank loan applications for the business too.DFD: 23/12/20100
