    Thank you ladies :A

I'm more relieved than anything at the moment as I was starting to worry that if I exercised 4 times a week & was a bit careful & still didnt lose any lbs then there was something a bit wrong :(.

KC - my alcoholic virtue remains intact; I do have the bottle of chablis, but haven't opened it. I'm utterly determined to get the weight loss momentum going before quaffing booze again.

A full complement of staff today meant much less stress :). After work I had to shoot to the post office to buy a stamp for abroad - 60p. Next stop was the co op for aloaf of bread - £1.35. Total Grocery spends now £141.45p. I got a lovely shiny £2 coin in my change so that's gone into the Sealed Pot :D.

Both DD & I desperate for books so we tripped off to the library where I had to pay £1.99 for the book I dropped in the bath - cleary I didnt iron it properly :o. DD is mad for the Twilight Series - has read one of them & staggered home with another 3 - it will keep her amused for a while ;).

Home-job driver is already panicking about the snow that may or may not fall next week & is all prepared to boycott work. I'm now thinking how annoying it would be to be stuck with customers orders in our very small home over christmas & wondering whether to 'be busy; myself next week, either way - snow or not. I could certainly use the extra time & with all costs covered I really dont need the money that much.

Did the mean weights workout tonight - ow :( - got screened out of 4
surveys but also had an email from Quidco to say they have just paid me £8 :j.

Off to update my sig now

    G'night
    xx

That all sounds really good, Lula - did you get yourself some good books too? I'm starting to wonder what your home job *is*! The part of me that doesn't believe I'll make the trading work thinks "maybe I could do that" - but nononononono, I *will* be a trader, and my question is just nosiness, ignore!

Well done on 4lbs off ..thats fantastic.
  • Well done on the 4lb, that is great news! 4 times a week exercise is amazing, I am hoping for 3 next year but think even that will be a struggle!

KC - I'm also wondering what on earth Lula-Hula does as a home job. I'm thinking something to do with shoes....

    It works :T

ladies I've pm'd you the exciting details of the home-job - sadly it doesnt involve shoes :(

Have had the most horrible day at work. I forgot my protective bubble & was completely unarmed & unprepared for the days events.

The short story is that after I'd spent the last 2 days getting all the clients last minute requirements organised to occur before christmas ... Gropey took it upon himself to rearrange half of it in my absence, but not provide me with the details f his rearranging . He then decided to work from home today & when the client rang to ask for all the finalised details, I was unable to provide them. I wanted to cry & kill him at the same time. Came home with a banging headache & fell asleep on the sofa for an hour.

So fed up I couldnt do any exercise, but did manage to avoid throwing myself into a Gordon.

No Spend Day so not all bad.

Hope to have more positive news tomorrow
    G'night
    xx

I did post last night, detailing all my funds, but lost it.

Was very miffed but then started to feel really odd & realised it's the stress kicking in again so did a workout, had a bath & sank into bed.

Struggled to wake up this morning but had so much to do I just got on with it. Took DD to school & headed straight into town to finish off the christmas shopping & Lula s karmic law was in full swing today.

I bumped into someone I havent seen for a couple of years & we chatted for ages & then swapped numbers so we could stay in touch. They've been having a really hard time in recent months & I was in tears just listening to the catalogue of events. It's a delicate situation so I need to think very carefully about how best to be supportive without potentially making the situation worse. No being impulsive or shooting my mouth of as is my usual modus operandi :o.

Managed to get the last few bits for DDs & the secret santa for colleague then wandered into primark where I very naughtily bought a couple of pairs of leggings to replace my faded ones. Big £6 spend there.

Didnt have any coins for the Big Issue seller so he offered me change & when I said that he should keep a fiver my karmic reward was instant as he gave me 2 x £2 coins in my change :).

Bought some christmas cards as time is running out & I've lost the will to make an more. Eventually made my way back to the pay machine & some kind soul had left a pound coin in the change scoop at the bottom :D. I then received another £2 coins in the change :j.

Decided to drop shopping off at home & have a coffee before venturing to waitrose but as the kettle was boiling I noticed the sky was dark purple & heading my way . Abandoned coffee & legged it back to the car to get provisions in before being snowed in for days on end & then having to brave the supermarket on christmas eve _pale_ to get all the festive feasting stuff in.

It was a full on blizzard, have never seen snow come down so fast, couldnt see a thing & learnt how to steer into a skid while also being astonished at those drivers who dont put their lights on in those conditions ? Tried not to think about DD & her year who were heading off to the panto at that time. Waitrose car park was like an ice rink but I managed to park & just ran for it. Got everything I needed for a few days indoors & also the festive feasting. We have a pudding :). I also grabbed a litre bottle of Baileys for £11. last week it was £14.99 & the week before that £18  so was quite pleased with that.

An hour & £101 ( just pretend you didnt see that ) I emerged into bright sunshine. Fantastic work by the ground staff who had salted & gritted the car park in that hour :T - it takes the local council 3 days to do the paths by the shops & they never come near the school. Oh, and our mp is none other than the minister for transport himself :rotfl:

The scary waitrose bill is within £1 of what I had not paid off the CC so I'm feeling quite please at my estimating skills. About £37 of that was on our regular groceries & £15 on various meds as DD not at her usual peak.

I managed to wrap about 3 presents before the school texted to say the kids were on their way back from the theatre. DD really tired & now suffering with sore throat, shivers & aches so thanks goodness I stocked up.

I had a reply to my email about the missing gift for bro in law & it appears that Coventry is the Bermuda Triangle of beer deliveries so they have sent out a replacement :T. As it's coming from scotland I doubt it will arrive in time for christmas now though which is a shame :( & it was due to go to work address so cant now guarantee anyone being there even if it does arrive.

Managed 2 loads of washing today & the weekend will be all about getting those cards written & sent/delivered, getting the tree, lights & decorations done & wrapping al the gifts that are strewn about the place in dozens of bags.

My body clock all out of sync so must go to bed now

    G'night
