first load of laundry about to finish & Dad already been on the phone re the christmas feasting list. Bless him - he's off to order the turkey :A.

I'm busy using the ostrich technique at the moment for the nasties I'm meant to be dealing with. Although it won't be long before I have to raise my head and start dealing with them, trying to put it off until tomorrow

Hope you manage to deal with the nasties quicker than expected.

Some Ostrich days are nice occasionaly, just can't allow them to take over

the fantabulous 'ostrich technique' is being utilized here at the moment - 2 slabs of cheese on toast & a quick MSE update in progress.

I've done the feast list & emailed that. Dear Dad is off to M&S to order one of their lazy toad feast packs & I think I've co ordinated everything else.

Today really needs to be about getting essential laundry done & the cards, the dreaded cards. A quick whizz round with the hoover & splosh with the cleaner in the bathroom will have to do.

Have nowhere to put the tree so have despatched DD to her room to clear up so the dolls house can go back in there. Tidying & decluttering is the theme of the day.

The shark has sprung a leak so is going to work with me on monday & will be laid to rest in the skip there. 25 trillion polystyrene balls I do not need rampaging around my home :eek:.

Tomorrow will be the shopping trips & probably the ironing too.

Apart from general festive decorating, I need to make a wreath for the front door. Going to use all materials either already here or those gathered while out & about.

Off to make list of cards now *groans* & then get on with it.

Did another load of laundry & the final one will be tomorrow after DD has stripped her bed.

Rang the jewellers who confirmed that my order is indeed ready to be collected

Have made the monumental decision to use my Boots points to get myself the lovely perfume I've been wanting for ages as an early birthday gift to me I have enough to cover the cost entirely & I also have some points coupons to be used before 24th December that will earn me another £8 in points :j. I have nothing else to buy from there so may as well use them up on this.

The card making hasnt started yet - it's been like an old style switchboard here today with the amount of calls coming in. I dont hear form family for ages & then they all call within the same 3 hours :rotfl:.

We have an extra member for christmas lunch now but it will make it more fun. I'm getting into the spirit of the whole thing now & thinking about games we can play too .

I've decluttered more clothes from DDs room & have another pair of boots of mine to get rid of. DD1 has wanted them for ages but I held on to them & now realise I havent actually worn them in the last year so she might as well have them & I'll have less stuff to make a mess with.

I'm loving this wardrobe clearance & after years of hoarding too much I'm now finding it easier to get rid of stuff with each few items I let go.

Curry for supper tonight - yum yum yum - will definitely need to do a workout tomorrow.

Although a No Exercise Day , it has been a No Spend Day too

Still not done the cards - cant face it now but I have at least written a list of who to send them to.

I have done all the laundry now & it should dry overnight so I can get it all ironed first thing in the morning.

I've finished the library book I had to renew & am now out of reading matter so have to get to the library soon.

Dreading the shops tomorrow so aiming to get to town as they open.

Put 3 x £1 coins in my sealed pot today & reckon that by this time next year my finances will be stable, christmas already paid for & I'll have some real savings too.

Exciting stuff :rotfl:

Morning Lula! Its so dull to have to watch the pennies, isn't it - but if it gets us back to the point where life can be exciting, then its a good thing (eventually :rotfl:)

It can sometimes be rather dull, but on the other hand it wasnt until I had my LBM that I even started using everyday things like reward points & I will continue to do that for ever. In some ways I will actually have gained from my CC debts.

Today is the perfect example; I have the perfume :j even before the LBM I probably wouldnt have spent £45 on that, but using my Boots points means it was in fact free :T. Sadly, it transpires that you cannot claim points when using your points to pay for an item, but the sales assistant urged me to hold on to them as *whispers theatrically* there is due to be a large points event on the 26th . I like the staff in Boots :A

We got the gift for DDs friend ( or rather I did as DD had 'somewhere else secret' to go ) & spent a happy half hour trying on hats in TKMaxx because, although we arrived in town at 9.58 & I grabbed the last street parking space in the western world - mainly because the muppet in the 4x4 in front of me gave up trying to reverse into it on the 4th attempt :rotfl: I resiste the urge to suggest that they should go park it in a field where it belongs - I had completely forgotten that we couldn't actually buy anything before 11am.

Never mind, it was fun & I now know that however much I love cloche hats, they do not suit me .

I collected the gift for my sister & they wrapped it for me for free - extra bonus & then we rushed home to get DD ready for her outing with friends.

Dropped her off & then headed to Waitrose where I overspent as usual
& then rushed home to shove it all in cupboards & the fridge before making a coffe & then finishing off the hoovering.

I am about to do the ironing, & then when DD arrives home we shall make cards.

Will update spends later as I really need to get on ...

Interesting to have a points event - sadly, I only have about £3 in my boots points account, but I *might* qualify for something if its mega :rotfl: your day sounds a good'un so far - don't do too much domestic now
