    Hi all,

a very brief update as I'm secretly avoiding School Stuff :shhh: dropped DD in there earlier & will go back to see her choir performance & stall a half hour before it ends. Call me a bad mother but I've been attending these events for 17 years now & really am all christmas fayre'd out. Truly, I admire those who work in education but 2 hours of high pitched excitement & being pushed & shoved & more pertinently, financially ravaged is just not what I need after the week I've had at work.

Clients have just realised that not only is christmas looming which means a major shut down, but that the new year heralds the vat increase too. Panic is setting in, contractors are already booked to be on holiday, everyone seems to have forgotten that I actually have my own job/tasks to do & am just covering for Highly Annoying & also that clever though I am ;), I cannot at 1.30pm, just magic up their order and have it & a team of guys to deliver it to the other end of the country by 4pm the same day :rotfl:

Gropey is wandering around in a dream world & I think Goblin might just emasculate him with her letter opening knife if he doesnt get his act together soon.

Have managed to top up the funds but seem to have lost a tenner somewhere  got to go do the parenty thing now but will return with details in a bit.

Thank goodness for no home-job tonight & no work job tomorrow, I have so much finance stuff to sort through & update.

    Bye for now

I'm the epitome of discipline this week.

Having done the parenty thing; listened proudly to choir singing carols, wandered around the stalls & escaped again I dragged DD home for tea, bath & bed.

I ignored the washing to concentrate on the heinous weights workout & then sank into a bath with a book & mini pack of haribo :D.

Washing up finally dealt with, surveys done & finally I've located the lost tenner. Actually, it wasnt lost, I just cant count :o.

Funds all topped us as follows:

PGL trip £40 - another £100 to save
Presents £40 - shopping tomorrow so that wont last long
    DDs clubs £60
    Treats £60
    Clothes £10
    Laptop £50

I've also received a £3 payment to my paypal account :D.

I need to pay the laptop cash into the bank account tomorrow & I also have a bg of 1ps to pay in.

Havent put a single coin into the Sealed Pot yet :o. Meeting a friend for coffee/lunch tomorrow & parking is horribly expensive there so may not manage any tomorrow either.

Had to top up on bread tonight & buttery stuff on a bogof so coudnr resist that & ended up spending £3 in total.

Eyes closing of their own accord so will shut down for now,

    G'night
    xx

Well, it goes a little way to counteracting all the bad I've been :D

I've already been to the post office & paid in the laptop cash & checked the balance at the cash machine so I now £59.68 towards it.

It should work out well using that old lloyds account, as I can only access it by cashpoint or branch & I ve taken the cashpoint card out of my purse.

I also paid in a christmas cheque from rellies to DD - doesnt matter how many times I say she has her own savings account, they still make it payable to me so I have to pay it into mine, wait for it to clear & then transfer money across to hers, making sure none gets lost along the way ;).

I'm just about to head off to windsor now to do some stocking shopping, meet my friend for lunch, pay a small fortune for parking  & then hack it back home hopefully in time for DD.

She's taken a key to school with her & is under very strict instructions that if I'm not back in time then she has to text me when she gets in. Hate doing it, but sure I'll be back in time & if not she'll be fine :undecided.

Will report back with spends, later
    xx

I'm sure she'll be fine, Lula, its such a short time at a reasonable time of day. Hope your day has been lovely in Windsor, that sounds *really* nice.

I was home before her in the end, my friend managed to arrive earlier than planned so I got hone with 10 minutes to spare :)

I was actually more concerned about her managing to get in than being in alone. Our front door swells up in winter & the keyhole is quite high up so you have to sort of pull the door towards you by holding on to the letter box & jiggle the key in ... yeh yeh, on my list of things to sort out :o.

In summer when it shrinks, you could actually get in without unlocking the door, the gap around the frame is so wide :rotfl:

Well, I was financially ravaged as expected. Went to the toy department in large store to get stocking bits & ended up spending £34.36

Got flattered into buying a £3 ticket to win a weekend in Venice buy a very charming charity seller & about 5 minutes later wished I hadnt as

    ...

I headed to lush & in spite of all good intentions to only buy a small bathbomb, I was powerless to resist a gingerbread house tin with various bits in. I then made a complete fool of myself by sticking my debit card in the machine & insistently entering the pin number for another card 3 times & having it declined & blocked in one swoop :o:o:o

Fortunately I had enough of my Secret Emergency Cash Stash not to have to use the CC but then had a major panic about not only buying lunch but getting out of the carpark too

So stressed by the time I met my friend that I couldnt eat, so we just had mega caffeine hits instead & my lovely lovely friend insisted on paying :A I had about £6.50 left in cash & the carpark was 'only' £5 so I hacked it home dreading having to sort my card out.

Turns out that I can unblock it myself by going to a cashpoint, putting the right number in & following the steps on screen :j.

So relieved that it's easy to sort out so I put my lonely £1 in the Sealed Pot & as soon as I've taken DD to the party tonight I'm off to the cashpoint to sort it out. Might as well head on to M&S to get gift tokens & gift paper so I can get on with wrapping tomorrow - in between making cards & doing chores & laundry.

Not sure if we'll get the tree, decs & lights done this weekend, more concerned with getting all present shopping done at the moment, & can then concentrate on that & food shopping next weekend.

Will report any more spends as & when they occur :D

    Hmmmmm

I am cautiously optimistic that I'm nearly done with present shopping now.

Gropey emailed me earlier to inofrm me that 'yet another amazon parcel' had arrive for me & that his one must surely be his pressie. I replied that it actually wasnt destined for him, but that if he really really wanted a pink hairdryer, then I would get him one :D

I am now waiting for my bodyshop order to arrive, the exceedingly expensive delivery item & an email to say the other item that I'm due to pick up from the shop in town is now in. Will be very annoyed if I dont get the email tomorrow as I was told wednesday & planned to collect it on sunday.

In the meantime my presents fund is now overdrawn to the sum of £28.31 & I still have to get a gift for DDs friends birthday.

I did whizz up to M&S & bought a giftcard, some wrapping paper & bows & the next thing I know a pretty holly shaped cardholder has fallen into my basket .

By the way, what on earth is up with those weird baskets at M&S ? They look like they are meant to be large baby carriers. I do not like them at all; these nasty bright red nylon affairs that must have the most unhygienic handles ever _pale_ really make me cringe. I would go so far as to say that they actually put me off shopping in M&S.

More spends this evening as I had to pay for a trip to an indoor climbing centre that DD is going to in January, so the clubs & hobbies fund is reduced to £55.

Tomorrow should be a NSD, but anything can happen ... ;)

Very keen to have a lie in tomorrow although the volume of chores, tasks & general everyday living to be done means i need to be up by 9 at the very latest :(

I'm off to bed now so will attempt a target list in the morning
    xx
