You are hereby exonerated from the non-wrapping :rotfl:

I guess the home job carrying on is good if thats the stuff you use for cash - hope its not too bad for all the chores.

Thanks for the exoneration KC -

am about to embark on the ironing & may then venture out to post box before home-job stuff arrives. Went out to put rubbish in the bin & it's perishingly cold out there. So glad I used shiny red snow shovel after snowfall on saturday though, as the steps up to the front door are treacherous if icy.

Present wrapping will have to be a nocturnal activity.

Need to get as much done as possible as I can feel a 'tingle' in my throat so desperately keen not to come down with DDs cold. She's better than yesterday but still really wiped out.

Enough delaying tactics, ironing ahoy :D

    You're welcome :A

No to tingles! Remember to dose yourself with all the stuff that you dosed DD with.

I'm on the TCP Lula as I've got something lurking in my throat and it CAN'T come to anything what with being back to work on Wed and then the small business of Xmas on Saturday X Got two viewings for flats today. I'll keep you posted. X

    Hey Souk,

hope the flat viewing is succesful & had forgotten all about tcp for throats. I am operating a mini pharmacy here though so have most eventualities covered.

Had texts from the school to say they're closing early due to weather - more snow forecast here - & that the christmas assembly at local church on wed is now postponed until January. Poor kids that were producing it , they must be so disappointed :(.

Wouldnt be at all surprised if school closed now until Jan & very much doubt if DD would be going in tomorrow anyway.

Have done all my ironing & if we dont go out I'll have a wardrobe full of clothes to wear as I can just slop about in combats :D.

Bracing myself to go to post box ... dont wanna :(

    Back later
    xx

Went to post box to post cards :j wrapped DD up like a mummy & took her along too just to get some fresh air, very fresh air.

    Will do neighbours cards tomorrow.

Home-job Boss just arrived with workload + card & gift that sounds choccies :T

It's just started snowing again here & Dd is happily playing Club Penguin land so I'm off to earn a few pence.

    I bring good news :

I've done some wrapping :j it takes ages & I'll have to do more every night if I plan to give the gifts this christmas.

I have also made a couple of festive decisions :

1 - Make christmas cards in january when taking down ones received in the last month. That way it's easy, I'll forget all about it & then be sooooo happy when I rediscover them 11 months later.

2 - wrap each gift as it is bought. Do not stash them in bags under the bed, this just leads to many long & very tedious evenings in the run up to the festive day itself.

Other than that blindingly obvious & sanity saving procedure, it's been a NSD. More snow fell, I did home-job work which wasnt too bad, DD chatted online with her friends & we discovered that only 17 of her 32 classmates were in school today; the evil cold has spread itself about :(.

Had an email from the rellie who we were due to see next monday; they are not venturing anywhere near this part of the country & plan to have a lovely stress & responsibility free holiday at home in Cornwall - yay for them + a bit of envy.

Other rellies due to fly in to Gatwick tomorrow ... weather permitting. worried about Dad going to collect them, but my car too small & DD still full of runny, coughy throatiness. You can imagine how pleased they woud be to return home in a weeks time with full on British Seasonal Virus :o. By saturday she should be recovered.

Not going to work tomorrow & no longer feeling bad about it either. Silly Gropey changed all my carefully worked out logistics which - should the weather turn bad which it did - placed the blame for non delivery irrefutably on the weather & backlog of parcel deliveries. He can deal with the fall out :p.

I do intend to head off to argos though to collect the reserved fleecy bankets I plan to use as extra lining for curtains - at £7.98 for 2 it's a bargain that will keep us snug.

As of tomorrow we will climbing out of the depths of winter & back towards the light again as the days lengthen. not too optimistic about seeing the eclipse as its all cloud here :(

I did the workout with weights & feel suitably shattered so going to head off to bed now as tomorrow I will be venturing to the garden to enpty the compost bucket & gather up some branches & holly & ivy for
    my wreath attempt.

    Bye for now
    xx
