Hey Lula
I had a fabulous holiday thanks...still getting back into the swing of being home.
I'd love to see Hairspray, I love the film and bet it would make a great theatre show.
Rocky Horror was brilliant fun. Surprising though that quite a few folks didn't dress up (boo!!) and there was one guy in front of us who started moaning about being hit by water :eek: luckily he left at the interval....I don't think he got the whole thing really!
I also ended up seeing Gail Porter in the pub afterwards and we had a conversation, I wasn't convinced it was her but my friend checked her twitter out yesterday and it was :rotfl:
We also saw Ainsley Harriott in the pub but he was in the play so that makes more sense!
I found my stomach muscles improved quite quickly when I was going to the gym, at first I couldn't really do a proper sit up but then after a while I could manage lots so I reckon you'll see an improvement quite quickly.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Excellent stuff! I saw Rocky Horror twice in two weeks when I was a student - sadly, it was *before* people started dressing up to see it  it all felt very daring :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning all -
Yay : ITS PAYDAY & THE CASH HAS LANDED IN MY ACCOUNT.
So relieved I dont have to go in to work & kick off as Goblin & I are getting on ok at the moment.
Gropey being a complete @rse, in fact I dnt think there's a single person in the company who diesnt want to punch him at the moment :rotfl:.
I refuse to be brought down by his moodiness & am just stepping up my own brilliance ( tongue in cheek there ) so he doesnt have cause to start on me ... he wont like me when I'm angry.
I had loads of home-job work yesterday & as I had to watch Miranda - love her - I didnt finish until nearly 10. Too late for a workout so just had a bath & read for a bit before the pumpkin hour.
Just a sprinkling of snow here so assume school open as normal & DD has her last session of after school club so I plan to do a quick whizz round Tatco on my way home to fill car up with fuel & also do a bit of a store cupboard fill up. Will probably use my £7.50 of vouchers as I intend it to be my final Tatco visit of the year - other than fuelling up. Still have no stocking stuff for DD & f the weather turns bad here at the end of the week, then she'll be off school again on friday. Think I need to hit the internet as a back up ... *wanders off vaguely remembering that there's a stocking filler shop on Quidco*
Will report horrific spends later
bye for now

Ok, I'm starting to feel left out now - slight dusting of white stuff here & that's it.
Work-job utter chaos but slightly unreal as not a single flake to be seen & the cause of the mayhem invisible.
Yesterday was a busy day; with the threat of impending snow I decided to brave the lower rungs of supermarketry on my way home from work. It was a bit grim in there but I did get 3 books that DD wanted so have added them to the christmas pile. She also needed some new tights, shirts & a hat & scarf, I got distracted by shiny sparkly things & it was so rammed in there I couldnt even get all the food supplies I wanted. The total spend in there was £73, but what with DDs stuff & the few presents & shiny things, the actual grocery/household spend was only £27.71.
I had a lot of home-job work & didnt finish til late so no exercise, just a bath, book & bed.
Today we set off early as we'd run out of bread again & the news that 400 lorries were stuck on the M25 got me thinking that supplies in the local co op could be running low. Dropped in for bread & came out with various chocolate items ( we have to keep chocolate in our cars in this weather) & a few other essentials. Total grocery spend was .. Spends of £39.73 already but I did stock up on essential household & toiletry items so will just need loo rolls & kitchen roll & the rest of the spends will be on food.
Didnt finish home-job work until 9 again tonight so no exercise again, - too knackered & silly season is kicking off at the school. It's a contstant flow of fayres, carol services in various different locations & cash at the moment.
To top it off I only realised this morning that there is an inset day this friday . This is very bad news as i had intended getting all the stocking presents on friday - scuppered. Next friday I'm due to meet up with a friend for coffee so will have to shop beforehand & just accept that it will cost me a lot more as I'll be panic buying. My back up plan is that the final friday before end of term is the school trip to pantomime which allows an extra couple of hours if necessary.
I'm really not focused on it all yet as work is so busy. I'm losing the plot on finance too as I have no idea of what's going out this month & whether I have any spare.
I tried to pay the clothes fund in today but the mini post office closes early so I'll have to stop on my way home tomorrow, then take library books back before spending 2 hours at the fayre; trying hard not to spend any money at all or feel like a loner as it's all happy family stuff & smug marrieds. I hate the falseness, the mothers !!!!! & DD knows I struggle with it & only go to support her so wont hassle me to stay for long.
I've had a payment from the secret survey company we arent allowed to mention, & who are currently recruiting so if anyone would like to be introduced then pm me an email address & I'll send the link.
I've also had a Quidco payment of £5.15 so that's also going towards the laptop. Tried to log in to the account but got the number wrong so have to wait 3 days for them to resend to me, so not sure of the total balance in there.
Time has flown by again this evening so need to get to bed quick & hope for either no snow or enough snow to not have to go to work - Boss already said I can take DD in if school closed. Oh heck, after all the awful things I've said about them ... not a chance :rotfl:
Will return tomorrow with news of cash fund top ups & banked funds.
I'm surprised that you can contain your excitement0 -
Poor Lula! Lots of half done things there - you're jugglingmadly, from the sound of it, but you *are* juggling - as for me, I know I'm within budget on Christmas, cos I haven't really started yet, only that one shop at a big health food store, but as for everything else - not a clue.
Off to Bedfordshire now - sleep well.
xxx2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Snow has arrived in Lulaville ... text from school to say it's open too - all good so far0
-
Get those wellies out my love!'The road to a friends house is never long'0
-
be careful in the snow then.Plenty of stuff going on in Lula land0

Silly season in full swing here;
having got up, dressed, breakfasted & pack lunched, we set off for school & work in our fabulous wellies. Dropped DD off & made my way to the garage & got the car out without much bother. Car is fully equipped for emergenices with blankets, small spade, jump leads, petrol can, drinks, chocolate bars, phone charger, torch, lighter & tealights - they generate heat as well as providing light & therefore save on fuel & car battery.
Main roads were pretty clear & I decide to dodge into Chavtown to collect 2 parcels from the post office on my way. Arrived on time & was just about to remove wellies & coat when I received another text from the school to say they were now closed !!!!!!:mad::mad:.
I was seething but Boss was fine & assured me that I didnt have to collect DD & then return to work - phew.
Half an hour later I arrived back at the school & was met by apologetic staff. I did question their decision to tell everyone to take their children to school only to reverse that decision an hour & a half later. It turns out that they changed their minds when they realised that the senior school was shut & many parents have children at both schools. I would like to point out that many also dont & I suggested that perhaps they should have decided on their policy before that morning & maybe someone could have checked what the other schools were doing before telling all parents that the school was open.
IDIOTIC - we had exactly the same farces last year over the snow & I think it's both shameful & pathetic that they are incapable of making a decision & sticking to it.
DD in a foul mood as it was the christmas fayre tonight, that she's been working towards all week & that I printed out all the leaflets for.
Next thing I receive an email from the guide leader to say that their meeting is also cancelled, although not due to occurr until tomorrow night.
I would find all this less frustrating if we actually had some serious snow, there are less than 2 inches of it.
Anyway, we opened our parcels & DD was thrilled with her new stripey cardi & my brand new furry lace up boots from Faith via ebay ( perhaps I forgot to mention them ) are perfect.
Decided to wander down to local shops & pay the clothes fund cash into my account to cover the ebaying.
Thought it may be prudent to top up supplies of bread, milk & eggs & potatoes in case the weather does deteriorate so spent another £13.16 on groceries. Total spend now £52.89.
Postie arrived ( in shorts as always ) with a letter from Utility company to say they were about to disconnect the electricity due to non payment .
Grabbed the phone in one hand & in the other juggled online bank statement showing payment taken on November 9th & paper electricity statement with debit card authorisation code scribbled on it. Spoke to lovely lady who took all info, only let me hold for about 2 minutes before saying that the payment had been allocated to an old account I had with them. I assured her this was bollox as I'd only ever had the same account with them for about 18 months but was mollified as she was so helpful & gave me her name & ext number in case I had any other problems.
Headed off for another coffee ...0
