£21.73 incl VAT and FREE shipping
it's a high speed 66x card, which the FZ3 can REALLY utilise
I tried a mates high speed card in my camera last night and it does indeed make the camera a fair bit snappier
well worth the extra £6.17
the next card down , high speed , 256 meg (kingston 40x) costs £20.29 incl VAT and super saver shippingmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

mine arrived today. excellent camera, amazingly light, charged the battery (2 hours for a full charge), followed the simple quick start instructions and got some great shots. optical zoom and digital 48x zoom is much clearer than my 5x old camera due to image stabilizer. still lots of functions to explore. get one!0

I’m really tempted to go for this camera, id just like to ask for abit of advice if anyone can help.
I already have a Kodak digital camera what is 3.1mega pixels, 4x optical zoom/3.5x digital zoom. I use it for taking pictures at the football. I get some alright pictures. But ive noticed they are not really clear, and the faces on the players can be a little blur and fuzzy.
I’m after a camera, where, when I use the zoom, there faces will be clear and you can see the detail. Will this camera do the trick with it having a 12x optical zoom.? I don’t want to go ahead and get it, if it will make no difference.
Thanks if anyone can offer any advice

Hi Emma,
The panasonic has a sports mode for these moments, speeding up the shutter speed so you can get those actions shots, the 12X zoom is all optical zoom (the digital puts it up much further), you should not have any blurriness from using the zoom since you'll be outside so there's plenty of light allowing it use the fast shutter speed to the best of its ability.

Slightly ambivalent about helping an Everton fan, as a Liverpool fan born and bred myself, but the FZ3 is probably the most cost effective way of achieving what you want. BUT you may find it doesn't quite work with very long distance shots. The stabilizer will help decrease shake, leading to fuzzyness, but with long distance it may sometimes need some help. If this kind of photography is really your thing then you could buy a Olympus TCON-17 lens adapter which increases zoom ability by around 1.7 times. Costs around £90, but sometimes get them via ebay. This will be a great zoom set up at an fantastic price. Very portable and stable. Of course, many times you'll get great shots with just the FZ3, especially players like Duncan Ferguson who has a big head anyway ;-. I also still have a similar Kodak as you and had it for 4 years now. Took many great shots with it but the FZ3 lens and zoom capabilities are different league ... like Everton V Tranmere ;-)0 -
Thanks very much for your help Dave and condyk.
I know what you mean about helping out the "other side". Someone on here over christmas was after liverppol tickets, and I managed to find the number they was after get tickets.
I dont need to take really really long shots, my season ticket is in the upper gwladys, so im quite close to the action. Im sure it will get me better pictures than the kodak one im using at present. I think I'll go for it.
I ve got some nice pictures from the game on the 11th december 04,a nice goal by carsleyif you would like to see that
See you for the derby, will be a close one that could all depend on who gets champs league.
Thanks again for both your help.0 -
I believe the FZ3's image stabiliser has a "panning" mode which switches off camera shake reduction in the horizontal plane. This is needed if you are taking a picture of something moving horizontally, because otherwise the camera may try to compensate for the moving background, thinking it is camera shake.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

I'll give the picture a miss ta! I still have nightmares about that game ... but even more so about the Birmingham game :-( Though I live near Bath now I would love to see a derby game, but alas tickets impossible to get these days for non season-ticket holders who don't live on the doorstep!0
