I swerved away from them in Asda. Live on my own so have to be careful what I buy in!
Despite rotten snowy weather I've kept up my swims etc. so still doing well and had the pool to myself mostly this morning.
Squeezing in 5 a day by having an apple sliced up with a satsuma as soon as I get to work in the morning - there's 2 over and done with before I even have a cuppa!
Tried on belt from 1988 again yesterday, very tight on last holes. Waaay to go there, very good gauge though.

No but a colleague at work is doing it to lose some lbs she's put on through eating out on business travel a lot for a month. She's doing a two week thing and finishes on Wed. She's lost 6lb! She looked great to me but it's how you feel I guess. Might spur you on as a kick start.0

I think it would.
It's so hard to give up carbs though! They're in EVERYTHING. Especially at this time of year when you want to be sociable and have a glass of wine etc.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Tara, I usually eat low carb and have managed to stick to it for various periods, having fallen of the wagon since mid october I've put on 1.5 stone! so I'm back on the low carbs because clearly my body doesn't handle them well or more to the point I can't moderate my intake of them!*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

I haven't been doing so well with eating ECG... but have been getting 5+ a day. I went '!!!! it' this evening and took off for a big long walk, and loved it. I am filled with new resolve!!
How are you finding the yoga and resistance workouts? I'm thinking of getting up early to do the same thing... just to find some peaceful time in the day to do it iykwim.
Thanks for all the low carb encouragement peeps... not sure if I can do it but I will try after Christmas! No point in saying I'll do it before then as I know I won't... BUT I am determined to eat less and exercise more starting now.

Well I tried on said dress today in prep for tomorrow...it wont go over my thighs! Stoopid lining! The dress was only £16 from F&F so I think I might cut it out...Im still not sure if it'll fit over my mahoosive legs! I would buy the next size up but im not blessed in the b00bie department so it would gape quite a lot and the straps would be falling down. Should I hack away at it?!2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0

Hi everyone, hope your all well. I'm afraid I've got a bit of a cold at the moment so am not feeling all that inclined to exercise at the moment but am sticking to the 5 a day target.
tara I've got a couple of books, the yoga one is by barbara currie called 10 minute workouts. There is a selection of workouts to choose from. The resistance workout is from a book called the smart girl's dumbbell workout by Judith Sherman-Wolin. The reason I like these workouts is because they only take 10-15 minutes each and I think doing them regularly will be affective.
nat I hope you managed to sort out your dress and had a great night out.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while, busy with other things etc.
So here is the final summary of the past few weeks.
Am on course to achieve the 5 a day target so I'm really pleased with that, this is the longest time I've ever managed to be so consistent.
Exercise wise I've finally found what suits me, doing the yoga and the resistance workouts which I really like doing. I know that I need to add in an aerobic workout on a regular basis so will do some jogging and have fished out some of my aerobics dvd's to use.
And seeing as I called this an inch loss challenge, here's the final result. I didn't lose the 10 inches which was my ultimate goal, I have managed to lose a quarter to a third of an inch from each thigh, hips, waist and bust so am quite pleased. Okay it's not as much as i'd ideally like but I am pretty happy with how the last few weeks have gone as I now know what exercise I am happy doing and have really got in to the habit of making sure I eat at least 5 a day.
So I'm feeling really positive for the future as I'm sure I will be able to achieve the fitness/weightloss goals I have.
I hope everyone is doing great and would just like to wish you all a very merry christmas.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378
