East Coast Girl's inch loss challenge

i NEED to join!! im looking to fit comfortably in a size 16 dress by 11th dec...im currently(as much as i hate to admit) probably a size 18
im 5'10" so that probably equates to about 2 stone for me to drop a dress size! im running the london marathon next year and only managing to run 2 miles before i get pains in my knees due to my very fast weight gain-ive put on 3 stone in about 5 months. so i need to get out more and i need to fit into that dress!!!! ive given myself to the 11th as im going on a date with the fiance and its the first time in 6 months ive been out on the town and theres a lot a people i would rather not bump into at this weight...! i know i wont lose 2 stone by then but im going to judge it on how the dress feels and inch loss. i'll only beat myself up if i dont lose weight and that'll be the end of my target!! anyhoo, going to put the kids to bed and crack on with a workout DVD-Pump It Up! Its a vile DVD but arent they all??!!! 2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
tara747 Oh I know the feeling, it's just too easy to be tempted but we're all only human.
nat21luv Your very welcome, the more the merrier. That's quite a target you've set yourself, here's wishing you the very best of luck.
As for excercise dvds, I've just bought a 10 minute solutions blast off belly fat dvd. It has 5 different 10 min sections, I know 10 mins doesn't sound very much but if you saw the excercises..... I think it could just be the most effective workout dvd I've ever bought, here's hoping anyway.
Managed a wii fit workout and yoga this morning, did plan on doing one of the 10 min ab workouts but got up too late.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

Did yoga and a resistance workout this morning as well as a 10 min abs workout.
Am doing quite well with the 5 a day target too.
Hope everyone is ok and have a nice weekend.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

nat21luv, welcome and good luck with your challenge. I know exactly how you feel - bumping into people. It made my vicious circule worse until I saw the light and realised I had to be out of the house and doing something. So Good for You! It is the first and necessary step. Honestly, I just got bigger the more scared I was of going back to gym or out on the town with people I knew. Until I told myself enough was enough.
And you know - it wasn't that bad. Most people won't know you anyway - and those who do well they may see you and think 'gosh she got big' but then the NEXT time they see yuo they'll probably think they imagined it! I saw an old friend and I was a size 12 the last time I saw her and there I was a 16/18. I could've died. Yet still it took me more than six months after that encounter to do something about it.
I'm down to a 14 now and have shaped up really well, so it can be done. It's a quick goal you've set though so do watch that you don't get complacent quickly after it. My size has downshifted over 9 months.0 -

The sad thing is im STILL not motivated to do anything, even knowing that i'll see some girs that would happily kick me when im down! Meh, I went for a run yesterday and lost 3lbs, came homeand ate my way through a roses tin! so i weighed myself this morning and ive put on 3lbs!!

Yay, 3lbs off this week!!! OMG I am so chuffed!

That's 7lbs altogether since September. It's really motivated me to try harder as I haven't been doing that well (till this week lol). It's been going on and off but the trend is down, so I should focus on that i guess.
I am off chocolate for the next week, read about someone who gave it up for an entire year so I feel inspired!!!
Wish me luck, I am addicted to chocolate but really want to kick the habit.
nat21luv, welcome
and try not weigh in too often - once a week is plenty. Daily fluctuations can really get you down, and you cannot put on 3lbs in one day, it's impossible! Probably just fluid retention overnight.

Yay!!! 3lb off tara well done. But giving up chocolate, good luck with that. I'm not sure I could manage that, not completely. Probably more acheivable to try and limit it to the weekend.
Managed resistance and yoga workouts yesterday but nothing today.
Am managing to stay on track 5 a day wise though which is good.
Hope everyone is ok and not too freesing.52 Week Challenge £10/£1378

Mmm, it is very scary! Maybe I will just limit it to the weekends - ok, so I'm off it for the next three days (plus today). Sounds less scary!!!
