Well I'm not sure whether to declare today a bought lunch or not. I didn't bring lunch in from home, which was kind of the idea of my challenge, but instead of buying a sandwich or something I took the opportunity to create my desk stash for the rest of the month.
I think I'll have to call it a bought lunch, as it did cost me money. Damn it!

I'm not doing so well on this one......have bought three already this month, must try harder next week. There's no excuse for me not to make something from home. Get with the programme Mrs Smith!0

Phew, that's week 2 done! Still on track, but I must admit I really did not feel like making my lunch this morning. There were no left overs in the fridge, so made sandwich & grabbed a yoghurt & fruit.
Making soup this weekend with a heap of reduced veg I managed to pick up yesterday, so will freeze in batches & take to work next week with toast or rice cakes.
I go to work on the bus some days & have a brisk 30 minute walk from the bus station to my work & as I carry so much lumber around with me for work, I'm finding the extra a bit of a pain. So, to keep myself motivated, I'm putting the money I would have spend on bought lunches in a jar each day & will pay in into my savings at the end of the month. That way I'll see the results of my efforts & will be more likely to try to do the same next month.
Good luck to everybody - keep up the good work!0 -
This week I have made 2 lunches, and as I have decided to also counting my breakfasts I had breakfast at home 3 days.
What I am not counting, I made a sandwich for lunch, but as it was a cold day so I bought some soup to go with it.
I have a private 101 in 1001 list and item 71 is: Take lunch to work everyday for a week. (0/3)
I have not really tried to tackle this item, but with 11 months until my 1001 days end and the MSE Work Lunches Challenges, hopefully I will reach my 3 weeks.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
