  • 7/7 so far!!! Going strong

Got two free twinings tea bags from an online offer (thru MSE's freeebies update) and a voucher for a free packet of skittles that I used at the supermarket on the way into work. I got that from facebook by "liking" their page. I unliked as soon as I had the voucher so they cant spam me though. Tee hee

Yesterday was home-made salad and some go-ahead biscuits (they must be on offer somewhere cos hubby has 3 packs in the cupboard at home from shopping).

Today is tin of veggie soup and a couple of slices of seeded bread, and the biggest pink grapefruit I've ever seen - wasn't really looking forward to it but it was very filling and took me ages to peel, de-pip and eat so I felt like i'd been eating for much longer.

May go for jkt potato or soup 2moro as the weather is getting more and more dreary. Welcome to winter everyone.

Anyone know of any cheapy (pref low fat) hot chocolate on offer at the mo? I'm getting sick of mint tea for my hot drinks.

I dont know of any hot choc on offer, but as you are open to 'exotic' tea (well you drink mint tea), have you concidered lady grey? This is quite a nice fruity one that you can have without milk so fits in with low fat :-)

I've got quite a few things in my locker at work, crisps, peanuts, about 4 or 5 tins soups etc and a jar of branston pickle that I use when I've not had time in the morning, just have to pop into the Tesco metro round the corner from work and can usually can pick up some reduced bread or rolls.

  • Hello, I'm new to the forum but would really like to join this challenge if its not too late, please?

I've known for a while that I've been spending too much on shop-bought lunches & by coincidence decided that I would try to turn over a new leaf and have been taking home made lunches to work since the beginning of the month.

So far I've actually managed to stick to it! Its been mainly fruit & sarnies, but tomorrow I've got left-over risotto from tonight's dinner. Looking forward to it already!

Can you sign me up for 22?

    Good luck to everybody
  • Can I join in please ? I have not bought any lunches this month so far but soggy sandwiches from home are wearing thin then I found this challange, will help me with some ideas and motivate me to carry on ....

    great idea!
    Determined to do better

ha ha exotic.... (i'm only drinking the unusual flavours as they're various freebies...although I got some tetley REDBUSH tea in a goody bag from a charity race and its filthy nasty stuff)

Might try lady grey - I found some little sachets of options for 25p from the little corner shop which are expensive in terms of per cup....but I only had 80p which wouldn't even buy me the own brand hot chocolate.

Oh and still NO LUNCHES BOUGHT....tin of soup and some crusts of the seedy bread no-one at home likes and half a toffee yogurt (its too sweet for me i'm afraid). But i'm full all the same.
  • We had home-made chilli last night, but went a bit mad and there's loads left. Guess what i've got for lunch?!? A tub of leftover chilli & rice. There's still loads of chilli in the fridge at home so may have it with jkt potato 2moro.
  • Ryvita and yoghurt again for me today 3/15. Can't stomach much at the mo :o
