Poo you, hope your back is better soon.
Friday wiggle everyone! Anyone got anything exciting planned for the weekend? I am torn between a little (and I mean little owing to poor bank balance
) xmas shopping, or just sticking at home and tidying up the garden a bit - there's a massive sycamore tree which overhangs our garden and is currenty de-robing itself of all it's leaves so they need picking up.
Spoony, I can declare NSD #7 :T That's me 1/2 way now after my little wobble. Did get bread, soup and a banana at lunchtime but used the change pot for that - soup for OH was an afterthought but he'll have that over the weekend so I didn't really go off list. (banana was to go with a bit of custard I had left at work for after lunch - hot banana custard....very retro :rotfl:)Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

sorry I try not to use proper names so that search engines dont pick up on it so T3sco would be Mr T etc. BBFL is big brands 4 l3ss if you get that :rotfl:
Its up to you whether or not you count today - I would be inclined not toEmma

Personally I don't count points/vouchers as spends for my NSD challenge - that said, I don't go spending them willy nilly to buy stuff I don't need - for example, I used some amazon vouchers from my nectar points to buy the new Nigella book for my SIL's xmas present, so I didn't count that. Similarly if I treat myself to something with my B**ts points (which is rare), I wouldn't count that as a spend.
For this challenge the rules are entierly up to you - I count all cash/card purchases as spends but don't count my credit card bills or direct debits as spends because the main aim of this challenge for me was to start thinking more about when/what I was spending on those odd lunchtime buys.
Others though, do count dd and then try to combine their spends on these days too.
Oh...and welcome to the [STRIKE]madhouse[/STRIKE]..sorry, I mean board where lots of highbrow conversations happen :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Thanks Kerri
the reason i started this is to cut down on excess spending. I am not counting ddms/bill payment, just what i would spend outside that.
So in my head thats a no spend day for me!!!! my first one! I cant claim it on the save £5 a day so i may as well take it as an NSD :T
This is good!Shaz

Just realised I forgot to declare that yesterday was NSD #7 for me
D/Debit went out as expected this morning, so I picked up some more bits and bobs as well
As I left work I picked up some whoopsied 'Best' sausages - each pack has 12 cumberland chipolatas (so will do me 4 meals a pack) and has a normal price of £2.59 but is currently on offer at £1.94. I got 4 packs for 99p each.... would have liked them cheaper, but the pork and bramley ones that were there at 3pm had all gone and I didn't rate the chances of these making the next round of reductions as there were a couple of other people working their way through everything on the shelves (I was aiming for the sausages specifically and knew where they were - so just reached back, pulled them all out, and left the area to dirty looks from the others who'd been there ahead of me
)
(These were on my list of 'allowable Whoopsies' from the £5 set aside on 1st, but as they were bought on a spend day I'm not deducting the money from that fiver)
Got myself a new pair of slippers from B'n'M - at £5.99 they were slightly more than I normally pay for slippers, but as they're Dunl0p I know they'll last (I've had a couple of pairs before and loved them). They're really snug as they have a full towelling lining, and the 'cuffs' around the back and across the front all fold up which effectively turns them into ankle boot slippers :T
Also picked up another 3 tins of mushrooms from there (3 for £1 and they're nice - would have got more but they wouldn't go in my bag with everything else, so may go back and see if they've still got some left when my next D/Debit goes out on Monday).
Also from B'n'M came 2 P3z dispensers - these will be small 'extra' pressies for my GDs next month (one's a reindeer, and the other's a polar bear in a green & red scarf and hat). My three used to love getting one of these each year, so I'm hoping my GDs will like them just as much - don't think they've had one before.
Also nipped into L!dl (don't do the extra walk up there often) and picked up 2 packs of wholemeal spaghetti (running short of supplies of 'normal' stuff, so decided to try wholemeal now I don't have anyone else to please) plus 3 boxes of teabags (28p for 80, instead of £5.99 for 480 from Mr T - they're not quite as strong a brew, but I've been coping with the box I bought to try last month and it's a significant saving given I can use an average of 7/day when I'm at work, and more when I have a week off)
Have also treated myself to the new CD from The Soldiers (which has some fantastic reviews). I have their first one and the one that was given away with a paper earlier this year, and love them both. DD took me to see them in concert for my Mothers Day present (she paid for the tickets, and DS2 babysat my GDs as his part of my pressie so that she could take me) which was a fantastic night out.... I'd love to go and see them again
Can't listen to it yet though, as I've ordered it on-line (via a cashback site), but I've already had a shipped notification so hopefully here early next week ready for an immediate load onto my iP0d :T
I've also placed another order with App F00ds
Loved some of the stuff I ordered last month and regretted not having ordered more, but couldn't justify the postage charge to top-up my supplies. But they've got cheap postage this w/end and still had most of the items in stock, so I decided it was worth it - and I also added in a few other bits I'd debated last time. At least delivery should be next week while I'm off work so my neighbours won't get stuck with taking it in again
Hoping my BBFL order will come on Monday, but the consignment number they've given me for tracking it won't work
EDIT: Tracking number now showing consignment number as being picked up today and headed for M'cr, so looking good for being able to check the status on Monday morning before I make plans for heading out
