    Cheers

    Shaz

    Hi shazzer
It's never too late to join us, if you'd like to do so this month, you'd be very welcome. We had newbies joining up most of the way through October - have a think and let me know.

Otherwise, look forward to welcoming you in December, but you'd be more than welcome to post on here if it gives you some inspiration.

That's a real shame - that said, in our gathering the lady who organises it says she always knows who deff won't be attending. She got her son just to put flyers into every house. There are quite a lot of families in our road, where the kids are all at the same schools so quite a lot of neighbours know each other that way - and then there were a few brave souls like us who just thought we should go and say hello :) I know what you mean about living 'daaawwwnnn sowthhh' though - I'm in Berkshire ..say no more ;) (though clearly not affluent else I wouldn't be on the DFW board :rotfl:)

That attitude isn't just restricted to the south, kerri, there are some places in the north just the same - and I'm in one of them unfortunately:(:(

    Number 7 for me please.

Not feeling very happy today, can't shake it off at all. :(

((((hugs)))) sf, hope you're feeling a bit brighter now.

It could be the aftermath of the excitement of getting engaged and starting a new job in rapid succession, it could just have left you a bit down (it does often work like that, surprising as it may seem), and this wretched weather won't be helping either.

    Take care

Hya Spoon..NSD no 7 today (no 6 on Tuesday!), so not too bad so far.

Car got picked up today, but won't get it back until tomorrow (hopefully!), we won't get the bill until next week though! :j

Going to try and make tomorrow another NSD, then do some shopping on Saturday after work (9am-1pm). Have to go to the PO sorting office beforehand as someone has sent me a card/letter without enough postage, so I'll have to pay over a pound for it!! Might visit the Co-op near work to see what offers there are...then go to Morrisons if nothing appeals.

Been making Xmas decs with chocolate mints today to sell at some Xmas fairs...hope they go well!! See here for piccie

Off to bed soon...very windy out there, and the power has been flickering on and off tonight...oooh er!!!

    Hope you all sleep tight!

Well, today will be a NSD with a little juggling! I signed up for pet insurance policies via Quidc0 about a hundred years ago and finally today the cashback has arrived (£100:T) I therefore felt justified in buying the £12.50 mascara for £2.5 as described in Martin's weekly email. I am not counting that as a spend as I am in profit for the day, get the logic?:rotfl:

Also got my clubcard vchrs for Mr T so Im going to do the double up thing and use them toward some new makeup that is badly needed. I fancy the Barbara da£y range - looks pretty good. Have enough vchrs for @ £20 worth of cosmetics for zilch, nada, nowt, zero!

    Laters!:rotfl:

Yay... loving the voucher, jinty, I was thinking of doing something similar for myself. The Barbara da£y range is good, I've had a couple of things from it before, I have quite sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate it at all, it stays put and lasts for ages... Happy shopping

    Number 6 today

Elf06, reading your point; I would say that I agree with the different treatment:
    - Card for canteen : Spend day on the day it is loaded. This is a facilities you use possibly every day. Now one can argue that to gain NSD you could bring your lunches to work but your lunches are surely working on a budget (i.e. £15 for the week; same as electricity / water etc... that you use)
-Tesco loaded card: This is very different because when you load it, you do not actually spend it yet; it is a move of the cash. If you load £100 and go there once a week for a £80 spend or 5 times for £20 spend is very different. 5 times for £20 at a time does denote the no meal planning etc...

My thoughts, I think you are doing it the right way
    cw18 wrote: »
Elf06 - I have to say that I'm with Karom on this one as it's for general groceries, although I can see the logic to only counting the grocery card when you load it (as that's a bit like someone else - sorry can't remember who - is doing with their Christmas Savings card/stamps for a supermarket, but this is for a special event so I can also see the logic in treating that one differently)
    elf06 wrote: »
Thanks guys - I appreciate you answering. It is how I felt about it but then couldnt work out the logistics :rotfl:. I shall probably continue this way - strange the things that pop into your head at the most bizarre times :rotfl:

And I'm agreeing as well, elf06, makes perfect sense to me as well, keep doing what you're doing:D

Thanks Spoon..really enjoyed making the decs, though took a bit of playing about to decide what to settle for.

Trying not to think about the car...everyone says it's not as bad as it looks....but it will still cost money to sort! :(

As to my birthday...it's the big 5-0 a week on Sunday
    (the 21st) eeek !!!

I was going to have a big party, but decided I realy wasn't up to organizing it. I would have been an absolute wreck by the time it came around! So sis and family are coming over on the Saturday for a nice lunch here at home...organized by DH. Then we (DH & I) plan on having lunch out with DS1, his GF and DS2 on the Sunday, before taking DS1 & GF back up to Warwick Uni. A lovely family weekend....I hope! :D

Really must get to bed...have to work on DS2's bedroom tomoz.

A bit blowly here tooo atm!!

    Morning all:)

Number 6 yesterday. That will be it now until next week as I am off to London this weekend with DD and will probably spend loads! Really looking forward to this! I will be aiming on having loads of NSD's next week to make up for the spendy weekend but I am still on target for the month so all is well!
