    Anyone missed me?

Been rather manic here, went back to work in September, currently working a 55 hour week and trying to have a social life.

I've managed to get my cc debt to under £20k and the car will be mine all mine at the end of January so some serious snowballing will be taking place. No pun intended.

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi and touch base, I'll be back on track for Dec with 10 nsd's please.
:hello:Of course we have, moneypenny, welcome back, good to see you again:j:j:j:j

Good going on your cc debt - well done :j:j but :eek: to 55 hour working week, though I was bad enough with 50 at the moment:(

Take care and try not to overdo it, look forward to seeing you in December, the thread might be up later if I get around to posting it, otherwise it will be tomorrow.

    Hi everyone
Just going to update the totals for Saturday and Sunday and catch up with some of you.

Firstly just wanted to send big ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to 3Dogs and katholicos for the problems they're going through. It seems a lot of people are having to do battle with the NHS bureaucracy to get a decent level of treatment/care nowadays and it's really not acceptable at all.

I will get off my soapbox now and wish you both the very best.

Thinking about you and your families

    Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Lots of NSDs rolling in over the weekend and more targets a-tumbling - well done everyone:j:j

Firstly, welcome back to 3Dogs, we’ve missed you. I’ve added you to the front page roster now with your rather splendiferous 18 NSDs and two targets already battered. Well done and good to have you back.:j
And an even more spendiferous 20 NSDs... target no 3 met now, well done.:j There definitely has to be some benefit to this wretched snow:)

    Targets smashed:
:jifwishes - yay to no 14, your target and a demented banger - what more could a girl want? :j
:jkatholicos - yay to no 16 and your target, you also have a demented banger to grace your trophy cupboard
and yay to no 17, target exceeded now, brilliant!:j
:jelf06 - yay to no 15 and your target, demented banger is headed your way now:j
:jmummyroysof3 - yay to no 12 and your target, the demented banger is coming your way now as well:j
:jdonna dynamo - yay to no 16 and target no 3 smashed, you’re building up quite a collection of trophies now. :j
Hope the washing machine can be fixed, fingers crossed for you. Re the housework, no idea, we must all be stupid:(.....
:jelfen - yay to no 18 and target no 3 smashed.. and 6 in a row as well - brilliant month for you - well done!!:j
:jSurfbabe - yay to no 14 and target no 3 smashed, that’s brilliant!:j
:jkerri gt - yay to no 14 and your target, well done, it’s been a long time coming!:j
Glad you had a lovely meal out last night and good luck with the dance showcase next week, I’m sure it will be great:T
:jswanny - yay to no 16 and target no 2 smashed, that’s brilliant!:j

    NSDs grabbed:
:jsofababe - yay to nos 7 and 8, great progress and yes, you can hit your target, keep going
:jbeanielou - yay to nos 11 and 12, there has to be some benefit from all this wretched snow...
:jkarma-chi - yay to no 8, nearly there
:jjintyb - yay to no 17, target totally smashed now. Glad you had a lovely weekend with OH. Good news that doglet is enjoying the snow, at least someone is
:jchris81418 - yay to nos 23 and 24 - you’re definitely the race leader this month
:jkatenut - yay to no 15, keeping my fingers crossed for no 16 and your target. Glad you had a good night out with your mates and are feeling more positive, take care xx
:jNargle - yay to no 9, well done for getting there, you seem to have had a difficult month, take care x
:jBDINI - yay to no 11, you’re doing great, keep going
Oh dear sorry about the Sunday spends, but sounds as though you have the ideal pressie for grandma
:jLooloo - yay to no 14, one more left to get now
:jBigMumma - yay to no 19, target totally smashed now... not preachy at all, btw, way too much consumerism at Christmas and so much of it is totally unnecessary after all, it’s only one day
:jcandyapple - yay to no 19, nearly at target no 2 now, keep going. Hmm... I’m not very organised on the pressie shopping either, if that makes you feel better...
:jboultdj - yay to no 18, both targets smashed now, well done
:jslowlyfading - yay to no 19, one more to go for target no 2, you can do it!
    :jcw18 - yay to no 14, you’re doing great.
More bargains today by the looks of it and well done for getting the curtains sorted out, hope doglet will be much warmer now

    And hello to:
honey - hope your S.Dad is continuing to make progress ((((hugs)))) to you and your family
Red - come on, you can do it, one more to get
LfV - love the “mum” sayings - very good and very true

Oh.. and I’ve met my target too..... 20 NSDs in the bag and 21 today, a very happy spoony:j:j

Agree, nicca, I think he may be slightly regretting his decision:(

Where do you think all this time computers steal actually goes. Is there a big time bank somewhere?? :D:D

I hope so Spoony; it owes me big time! But it being a bank an' all, I guess I'll need to fight for it!

I agree with you Spoony (though shhhh, don't tell them; they pay my wages). And I agree with Chreyl (was it you that said it Cheryl?); COMPLAIN if you haven't had the service you and your family deserve. Our department has done it on numerous ocassions for those who can't advocate for themselves and we know the difficulties. But nothing changes if we all keep quiet. So shout about it! (And don't forget to shout at the local MPs too.) (That can be just because if you like! DOesn't have to be NHS specific ;) )

Anywho, sorry Spoony; I knew I should have declared before reading! :oNumber 13 for me today. Only one more to go. I might just make it after all. Though I really need to get deisel. Wonder if my poor wee car will go another day without (it's snowing here too but unfortunately I still need to get to work and it's not bad enough in the city to be snowed in... though any road but the main roads are pretty treacherous!)

PS Chris You are doing fantastically well with your NSDs! Good for you! :D

  • Morning all, 'tis very chilly here although (touch wood) no more snow since yesterday. I'm now at 13 NSDs but have to go to Mr. A. this evening so will manage 14 at most.

I am also going to have to buy diesel much earlier than I had budgeted for - driving at 30 all the way to work and back is NOT economical driving at all. The worst thing is that you battle all the way there so you don't lose a day's pay and then no customers manage to get there so you feel like not only did you risk a stupid drive it was utterly pointless. It would be cheaper for the company to pay you, not go in and save the cost of their heating/electric etc. but of course they don't see it like that at all. Sorry rant over!

Am starting to get worried about heating this year costing alot more than I had budgeted for but we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Hope you all have a good day and anyone driving to work please take it steady.

    Brrrrrr............ and grrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

Woke up tp even MORE snow this morning, left the house at 4.30 to drive OH to catch airport bus, only to find that they were off. We then had to drive to the airport - no roads cleared or griitted:mad: Drove home, journey that takes @ 40mins took nearly 90 mins, finally got in to house at 7.10 to discover that they have closed the airport till 10am. Dont know if OH will get away today or if I will have to go back and get him.
So much for our lovely council being "well prepared for the snow"
We live in Scotland! Snow shouldnt be that much
of a shock to our city fathers:mad:

I'm much happier now Im home with doglet, I was bloomin terrified driving home in blizzard conditions on roads that were like skating rinks!
I will be getting another NSD today as I will be going nowhere. In fact if OH has to abandon his travel plans I will tell him to get a bus home as they will be running later.

Hope you are all well, warm and safe.:)

    Have a lovely/safe day everyone:)

Just maybe we can get back to the TRUE meaning of the Season when the only thing that really matters is family is safe & sound.
