Well I've been missing for a good few months, but I'm ready to get back on the slimming wagon, since I was last on here I've graduated, found a job, have moved City's and in with the other half, and in the process put on a few of the lbs I'd lost, but hey ho back to the drawing board. I've spent today cooking in order to prepare for the week ahead, and I thought reporting my weight loss etc here will help to keep me on track again as I don't really have a suitable group to go to here. Today I've cooked a free root veg soup which I'll be taking into work for lunch, I cooked a version of the Easy Cheesy potato bake which is in the 2011 food lovers calendar that comes with the christmas magazine, just added some leeks and a little extra potato, we had half for dinner tonight and the other portions are good for tomorrow night, had it with a bit of savoy cabbage, it went down well, the OH is wanting to lose weight too so is sticking to SW too. Also cooked a quorn sausage casserole with quorn sausages, kidney beans, baked beans, chopped tomatoes, orange yellow and green peppers, onion, celery, worcestershire sauce, mixed herbs, salt, pepper, veg stock. I've had it before served with a bit of mash, or veg on the side. I made some sugar free jellies too for when I need something sweet. I do green days on the whole, but have recently started eating chicken, so might be doing the odd EE day here and there. I'd love to lose a stone before christmas but don't know how likely that is, there's a few weekends booked up in November, read afternoon tea with my mother, Flexi Syn alert.

Well done all the losers, I've been reading back over the previous thread to get a bit of inspiration, and have been scouring the last couple of SW mags (I love a before and after photo!). Please someone give me a virtual kick up the !!!! if I start to slide!

  • a040.gif I am so blissed out after the weekend its untrue. The meditation workshop was sooo informative and, well, life changing to experience; the tibetan buddist monastry so peaceful yet full of wonderful atmosphere and energy, the food was utterly amazing and the company great :) I really shifted and downloaded some emotional stuff too, which I strongly believe is linked with our physical health, so hoping that will help with the slimming amongst other things.

Its nigh on impossible to follow the buddist prayers (especially when its 6am) but I still have the sound of them rumbling around my head and its very soothing. Oo om ah noogra dooba.... or however it goes :p

Wasn't particularly on or off the waggon really. They eat very light suppers, so had HM soup both days but 2 slices of B&B with the first one (I hadn't eaten since 11am and was staaaaarvin!), brekkie was porridge with all sorts of nice bits to pick and mix in (dates, sultanas, seeds etc - high in syns but still healthy), and lunch 1 was a beancurd stir fry, lunch 2 the most amazing moussaka but made with lentils not mince - will be trying to work out that recipe very shortly ;) plus coffees and the occasional small chocolate bar or fruit & nut bake thingy. Thought overall although over syns it was reasonably SW friendly.

I have the ingredients for Dyno and tomato soups in stock, plus a couple of stews in the freezer, so and going to really plug on with those ans therefore superfree foods for the next few days.

I trust everyone survived the weekend fairy-free?

  • Morning everyone

I've just done my at home WI and I have lost 4.5lbs this week :j not quiet sure how as I consumed a lot of alcohol Sat night, mind you I did have a lot of exercise yesterday IYKWIM ;). the best bit of all is that I've dropped down into the next stone bracket by 0.5lbs. Such a psychological boost :D

I'll post my meal plans later. Does anyone have a recipe for pepper soup? I have a few on the turn so thought soup would be a good option.

Congrats to all the losers :j

Still suffering from tonsillitis but back at work. Phoned doctors and have appointment for Wednesday by which time I will have been on the antibiotics for over a week so hope they can recommend something else. Feeling rough has not been helping me stick to plan as been drinking loads of orange juice to help my throat but that has stacked up the syns. Got satsumas and plums with me at work today.

Good luck everyone with the week ahead, we can do it!

    Hello all,
I fell off the wagon on my birthday, which turned into a birthday week.... then we went away for a week and again I lost the plot. Weigh in tomorrow will not be good.
BUT I have read through some of the last thread (can't catch up with it all!) and the beginning of this one and I am determined to get back on plan. About to have breakfast, all bran and milk, I have free soup made for lunch, and will meal plan the rest of the week.
I would love to lose a stone by Christmas. To do this I am going to:
    • meal plan
    • although I always do green, I am going to follow the EE principle of 1/3 superfree at every meal
    • write everything down and carefully syn things (way too much guesstimation has been going on!).
Need to save money too, the prospect of Christmas is making me worry. Strange how it always comes around every December.....
    Good luck everyone,
    Liz x

One good thing about my birthday - my dear mum kindly got me the thermos someone on here recommended (was it flutterbyuk?). Great for soup for work.

Morning all! Feeling very annoyed with the changing of the clocks today!! I still have to get up and drive to work in the dark but it will now also be getting dark again by the time I get home so I won't be able to go out for a walk or a bike ride :-(

Today I'm having a green day:

    Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana
Lunch - leftover pasta bake (has some chicken in but this was counted as my HEB last night and I didn't eat it all), yogurt, mixed berries
Tea - turkey lasagne (HEA&B), sw chips, salad or beans (bet I know which OH will want!!)
    Snacks - fruit

I'm intending doing an exercise DVD if I can work out how to make the PS3 play it!!!

    Morning everyone,

never had chance to get on all week, wished i had tho it might have helped prevent the week from hell! Both kiddies have been poorly, little un the worst (he's teething and got really bad cough) so i've hardly slept last week. I was doing really well till about thursday when i lost the will to live and started craving sugar and fatty stuff, in the end my lack of sleep and need of energy proved too much and i caved big time:o, doesnt help that it is now my * week either. So i've put 1.5 on this wi. Have to say i tho its not as bad as i expected.
So i've sat down this morn and planned a few quick meals for the week so i dont get caught short.

    Today i'm going green

B- bran flakes and nana (heb and part hea)
L - pasta and sweet chilli philly (heb) ff yog
T - jp with beans and cheese and salad

saving my syns for later when i'm most likely to need them.

Anyone have a recipie for red pepper and tom soup?

  • Hello all,

Thanks for the lovely new thread consultant! Well I've had a bit of a bad week I think, my WI is tonight so we shall see, I'm not worried as such, it was just one of those weeks for me.

I did go shopping at the weekend and I'm down a back size which has made me very happy, I haven't been this small in a long time.

Also discovered a new little stirfry receipe which I love, very simple - Chicken, peppers, onions covered with some chilli powder and pepper, lots of paprika and a slosh of soy sauce. I had it with either rice or noodles. It was really lovely. Kind of reminded me of something you would get out of a chinese but without all the rubbish.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend xx

    Good morning everyone :D

Hope everyone feeling under the weather or with little ones feeling poorly are better soon ...

We have another misty overcast day here .... glad Im staying indoorsbiggrin.gif
Well the braised lamb shanks went down well... and there is some of the sauce left -basically sliced red onions cooked in red wine and balsamic, garlic and rosemary drool.gif-so I am going to cook some pasta for lunch and have that on it (well -waste not want not ehh and it is rather tasty tongue.gif). I will post the recipe later in case anyone wants it..

so then -my green day is looking like this:-
    • 28g oats (B)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1 banana
    • 50g dry weight pasta
    • onion/wine/balsamic sauce (3)
    • 42g low fat cheddar (B)
    • sf jelly n berries (1)
    • 1/2 activia (1.25)
    • cheesy leek n potato pie (A)
    • baked beans
    • sf jelly n berries (1)
    • 1/2 activia (1.25)
So that will be my 2A+Bs and 7.5 syns -so I need to use up some more syns .. I might "buy" some more semi if I need it for my cuppas later tongue.gif and if I need anything in between then no doubt it will be fruit -or some more jelly..
I need to get some more typing up done today... its the turn of the store/cupboards list eek.gif -still it keeps my head out of the fridge tongue.gif I made a start on my sf jellies -I made up 4 last night and stuck berries in them so I can top them with the vanilla activia intensely and make it "triffle"-ish -Plus it will make my berries last longer wink.gif..... I WILL get these cupboards run down redface.gif ..
oohh I need to nip shopping tomorrow grumble.gif I will need friut, yoghurts and just a couple of other bits..... then that should keep us ticking over for the week.... famous last words ehh rolleyes.gif
Anyway -enough waffle..have a great day everyone and keep up the great work!!
