Not doing too badly today, but I sense what will happen later, that chocolate is calling me from the fridge  I shall try to be ahem measured

I also havent left the house today! At least Ive spent no money lol

    berries & yog
mushrooms egg, 1/2 tin beans potato cake
more potato cake & the rest of the beans
    ww hoops 3.5
    HEB cereal bar

I know OH is so not going to want the Quorn burgers for tea tonight he is going to feel hard-done-to as its not meat, even though he said it would be fine- when I bought them- he is going to suggest a chinese I know it but we so cant afford!

GAH at the syns in thePeanut butter. There was someone who stirred P-butter into quark, and used it as a low syn spread. Cant remember how much she used tho? Was it you susan??
I would rather go without lol

If you have a chinese, have chicken/beef chow mein with boiled rice or chicken/beef with mushrooms or black bean sauce and rice, not too bad on they synage!

I got boiled rice and then quickly made it into egg fried once, it was quite lovely, and very filling.

HELP!! I am really struggling at the moment....

My problem is stress, I am unfortunately, an eater when stressed, and so lately I am sort of binging on junk 'a lot' simply because I am stressed a lot:(

Not sure if anyone has any words of wisdom as I am getting desperate now xx

I was going to make a chickpea cake but instead I decided to eat a raw can of chickpeas, followed by three mugs of Options Hot Chocolate loaded up with sweetener, and then a raw egg shake. Then I'll just jump around a bit so it all mixes up inside me. 6 syns, whereas if I had eaten them together that would be 19 syns.

    Is that about right?

I almost didn't bother replying to this post as it's a typical response from someone who so obviously knows better than the expert nutritionists employed to work out a method of losing weight, keeping it off forever, and eating balanced meals throughout.

However, for those who are new to Slimming World ....please ignore Wootball - he's a man out to prove something!

Either follow the plan or don't, as I said before you can lose weight any number of ways, but they're not all healthy ways and I know that food optimising is healthy and sustainable. Syns are there for extras so use them, don't try to find ways to make everything syn-free.

I competely agree CWM. It is about learning. As I said the other day, there's a certain mystique about food optimising that I think is an (understandable) commercial decision on the part of SW. However I don't think that's the same thing as implying a 'Slimming World knows best' approach which can be patronising. I suppose there must be people who don't feel they can trust themselves but personally I like to understand what I'm doing. That's why I ask so many questions particularly when something seems illogical. If the answer was 'because you can't be trusted' then......

But many people can't......and know they can't.

I believe - no, I know - that SW know best about their own plans but that doesn't mean that you have to follow them.

We live in a free country (or so they say) and you're free to eat whatever you want, but you can't say you're following food optimising if you're making up your own rules.

End of subject for me before the arguments spoil a happy and supportive thread :D

    Good afternoon all
Well done on the losses folks :j
Its another cold one here -but very little snow -so far

Im having a red day today -which should look like this:-
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • activia (2.5)
    • banana
    • 4 clementines
    • chicken breast
    • tomato
    • gherkin
    • carrots
    • pepper
    • frozen tropical fruit
    • activia (2.5)
    • salmon fillet
    • 198g potato (B)
    • cauli
    • broccoli
    • carrots
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • fibre plus (B)
So thats 2A+Bs and 5 syns accounted for -and I will use some more syns as I go.....

Well I had to pop on and do a little banana%20dancer.gif
You know the other week I fell in love with some clothes and decided to order a 16 ready to slim into ready for summer ?(taking advantage of the sales wink.gif)-well the first bits arrived today and being a bit impatient *who-moi?* :rotfl:I thought I would try them on and see how far off they were *truth be told I wasn't expecting to get them over my shoulders* -and oh boy -they fit faint2.gif -and I mean FIT not tight or anything -although they will look better as I lose more and they are fuller......here are the 2 dresses (sorry they are tiny pics off the site)... and look everyone... Pretty colours bunnydance.gif -I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to not slopping around next summer in heavy black clothing ..

Im still more of an 18 truth be told -but when I started out on SW 32 weeks ago I never believed I could get this far -at my biggest I was a size 32 -now I KNOW I will get to a healthy BMI and size I want to be..
They couldn't have come at a better time as I got up this morning with one of my "don't know what I want to eat heads on" - I hate those days, I don't over eat -I usually don't eat enough -or properly -so those dresses arriving really helped focus me again :j.

Right I will get off for now and will pop back later
have a great day everyone and keep at it...

Dont even know why i bothered putting a meal plan together today:o. I had a house full of kids wanting sweets, crisps and chocolate all day and in the end i totally caved. Had a lovely day with the kiddies mind, but my head is suffering now from sugar overload (that'll teach me!) So i braved the snow and popped out to the shops and got a few sw friendly bits in ready for the next few days.

Hugs to everyone else struggling i totally sympathise with you, i wish someone would give me my mojo back. The worst thing is i know i can stick to plan 100% i did it for 5weeks no problems so whats different now. I have no clue.

At least i'm not alone...my dh is the opposite, he loses his appetite and will eat nothing if he is stressed, why can't I be like that instead:o

    Doesn't help me though.........
