Hello gang, blimey aren't you a chatty bunch?
Fingers crossed for your safe journey to the airport this w/end Dizzy.
MrsM those frocks are gorgeous.... I think I'd need to be about a foot taller to wear that style though. I often feel that putting on normal clothes for women is like putting on 'grown ups' clothes... the problem is they don't make petite lengths for the short & dumpy. Just as well really, or I'd never have pulled my finger and started to lose weight.
I've felt a bit grotty today, it's * week, and it's come a few days early, so feeling a bit sorry for myself. Decided a trip to the gym was out of the question, so have been kind to myself and tried to keep in the warm (hard when we have no heating)!
I decided this evening, before I did dinner, to make today a Green day. It's my 1st one I think, as I've been doing EE for 3 weeks. So, if I've made any mistakes, do let me know.
Food:
B - Muller ch/cake (1 syn), banana, Alpen light (half HEB)
L - Bacon (HEB), Eggs, mushrooms, tomato, beans
D - Baked potato, So Good cottage cheese with onion & chives, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pepper, onion, salad cream (1.5 syns)
Snacks - banana, alpen light (2nd half of HEB)
Milk - HEA
So that's 1 x HEA, 2 x HEB, and 2.5 syns
I am aware I'm not eating very many syns, but I just don't really feel that hungry throughout the day. I guess that's where the food optimising is working. I do get peckish late morning, but I don't like to use up my syns early in the day if I can help it, just in case I 'need' something sweet or chocolate later on.
I'm another bread addict, and find that the easiest way for me to cope is to just abstain. I have found that after the 1st week or so, I just don't even think that bread is part of my daily food. From someone who would eat toast for breakfast, and then again for lunch, and even have bread with my dinner, that's a revelation to me. It's also proved that I can be incredibly lazy, because I'm an able cook, but some days I just couldn't be bothered to put in the effort.
I am looking forward to having my Christmas treats, but I won't start having any until Christmas Eve. My weigh in is on the bank holiday Monday (27th), so only a couple of days to indulge. Our consultant has said it's not unheard of for members to gain a stone over the Christmas/New Year weigh-in period!! I don't want to do that. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Anyone else finding the weather is messing up their eating patterns? Fruit isn't exactly high on my wishlist at the moment, plus I'm still down with a stinking cold, doing MORE work wise than normal (walking to work in knee deep snow at times, and covering for my entire office!), I just haven't the energy to cook. I wouldn't say i'm binging, just eating SW-unfriendly meals like toast or a fry up made with oil!0

We live in a free country (or so they say) and you're free to eat whatever you want, but you can't say you're following food optimising if you're making up your own rules.
End of subject for me before the arguments spoil a happy and supportive thread

My problem is stress, I am unfortunately, an eater when stressed, and so lately I am sort of binging on junk 'a lot' simply because I am stressed a lot:(
Not sure if anyone has any words of wisdom as I am getting desperate now xx
hi hunny i am just the same so if nothing else you aren't alone !
if i feel a binge coming on i try to do it with free foods or within syns.
sw chips and mushy peas
jacket spud and beans
cous cous with veg
anything like that really
but if all else fails i will go back to WI day for that week and use up any unused synsprobably completely wrong according to sw but it gets me over the blip without too much guilt (ie still within syns for the week)
i am at target now and the difficulty i now face is not to think oh well i am at target i can get away with cheese on toast / peanut butter sarnie/ huge bowls muesli / al of it :rotfl::rotfl:
hugs hun you'll get there in the end try to sort the source of the stress and maybe the food side will come along after ????0 -

:eek::eek: Thank you so much for that sarymclary. The idea that Christmas could undo all my good work is motivation enough.0 -
