    To those who cannot go:

Have you thought about having a colonic irrigation? I have, um, been rather fascinated with this since hearing of a detox programme which includes colonics and bowel flushes. :o read up about them but never done one, but appareently they are supposed to do wonders for your problem, and obviously will flush out any backlog while you are there ;) Also supposed to be amazing for weight loss. x

AlisonT, as long as you let your consultant know before class, if you have to miss one because you are working its not counted as a holiday or missed week - its just allowed because you are a shift worker and can't help it. Although obviously its best to try to get to a different group if possible.

Thanks just found it on the SW website:

Q: If I can't attend the same group each week, because I am a shift worker or work in different areas, can I go to a different group?
A: Yes, the support you get in your group is vital to your success. Shiftworkers should let their Consultant know in advance if they cannot attend, then they will not be charged. You will be welcomed at any of our groups nationally, whether you are working away or on holiday.

I shall try my best to go to the other class tomorrow at least for WI as I want to see if I've lost after my flexi syns day - going weekly for WI keeps me on track! Am lucky there is the other class at 5.30 just as I finish work and right by the train station too.

I have been for a few colonics - I feel at this point I should stand up and say 'Hello - my name is Lesley and I am a complimentary therapy addict!' - you name it I've tried it!
They are really great - it isn't painful or embarrassing as the therapist sees so many bums that yours is one of many. The girl I see LOVES her job, and is like a proud parent if you have a good one. I know that sounds weird, but she is so enthusiastic that you feel quite uplifted. AND you feel fab afterwards - all floaty light. One of my laugh out loud memories is when she said ' who's been eating sweetcorn??' - so I would suggest lay off the sweetcorn the week before!
Hope that hasn't been TMI for some!!

  • I'm loving the fact that its a new shiny thread and the topic of poo has come up again!! :D A slimming world thread wouldn't be complete without Poo talk!! :P hehehe

Sounds nice thanks - can make that with my vegan sausages and less cheese (as I yet to find a low fat vegan cheese)

Have made this a couple of times too and can confirm it's yummy :D Very nice stodgy comfort food ;) I do put the cheese on top of the potato though, it seems odd putting it in the middle :D
