    Yes! I would eat it.

I sometimes let the dog drink my last dregs of tea. I did once and forgot to rinse it out before making a new cuppa, didn't remember til halfway thru the cup. I'm still alive

We only had 2 carrots left the other day, and the dog grabbed one. Hubby chased her up the stairs and took it off her, peeled and cooked it :rotfl:
    We're still alive. :)

When I was young I used to share my food with my horse until my mum found out and stopped me! I would eat it but I have a stomach of iron (which I put down to being round horses and stables all my life) Disgusting really but I'm still here! xx

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.
  • Lamb and cat spittle - no thanks _pale_ This is why I would never ever have house pets :) can you be sure that the cat has not licked any of your other food or surfaces, and is it putting its dirty paws and bottom on the places where you prepare food?

I cant exactly stop a cat from jumping on the surfaces when I'm not there. They have bottoms and they will sit down bless em! :D

I doubt anyone with a cat could be SURE the cat didnt jump on surfaces. Thats what they do.

You didnt ask whether I cleaned the surfaces regularly? ;)

Might consider cutting bits off but otherwise it's a no from me. And a good illustration of why I'm not overly fond of eating at the homes of people with pets. Too many of them think that this kind of thing is acceptable!
  • Well seeing as i hate cats full stop i would have to say theres absolutely no way i would eat anything which had been licked by one !

How can people allow their cats to walk all over their work surfaces or sleep in their bed ? Its just disgusting !

Each to their own though , this is just MY take on the subject.
The loopy one has gone :j
  • Personally I couldn't but I think its fine for you to do so, it will be perfectly safe, I have to say though that PenPen's indignation made me :rotfl: and made my day! very funny. :) No offence meant PenPen;)

If I was desperate I would wash it and eat it,animal slober doesn't bother me any more than human slober.
It always amuses me that some people hate live animals in the kitchen but are more than happy to eat dead animal flesh coooked in the same kitchen.
As long as you clean surfaces and boards before you use them its not disgusting at all.
  • I would; once had a dog that licked a baking tray clean, OH put it on the side, I thought it'd been washed, so put a pizza on it.

That was years ago, and I'm still here. As long as it's been reheated thoroughly, then I'd eat it (and I would fib to the OH that the licked bits had been removed).

    T xx
