I have decided to start sending my customers an email saying thanks for purchase, item will be sent .... Does anyone else do this ??
Is it effective and should I also add confirmation about condition of book to highlight anything they may have missed ???

I always have sent a e-mail with my e-bay sales and did with my one first Amazon sale. I buy a lot through e-bay and always think it make a good impression.
I think 'bosom' is a lovely word. So is 'ample' - particularly when referring to cake.AMAZON MEMBERS CLUB - NUMBER 650 -

Hi Esoog,
Amazon say they have a problem with the listings - they are woking on it, but don't hold your breath that it will be fixed any time soon as it's been dodgy for a few days already!!
It shouldn't affect any of your books selling though - well that's what they say anyway.

I always send confirmation emails because when I order anything off the Internet I expect the same. Some people have emailed me back thanking me so It is a courteous thing to do.0 -

I hope they sort it soon, and there was me thinking Amazon were so good. I suppose there are always going to be problems with computers and the more you use a site the more you notice it.Amazon Sellers Club Member Number 52

I sold an item this afternoon and it's still showing up as listed plus no "sold now" email received. Only after checking Amazon Payments I realised I sold something. I think everyone should should check their accounts.0

Not sure if its a coincidence but these last few days when the Amazon website has been in a stramash I've had my best few days salesI only have about 150 listed and have been selling one a day which is unusual for me. Not complaining though but have been checking in my account and everywhere else I can think of to make sure I'm not missing sales. At the moment I'm getting SDN emails but the listings stay in the open list but are closed if I click on them
Good luck to all who have signed up for PM - still don't think its worth my while

I've just gone pro and my new listings have gone a bit funny too - I finally found them in "zshops opening soon items" which seemed odd, but I could edit them - might be worth looking there!!!
I always send a confirmation email:
"Hi
Thank you for your order. I'm writing to let you know I've posted it to you today by Royal Mail 1st Class
Please email me if you have any queries.
I'd be really grateful if you could leave me feedback on https://www.amazon.co.uk/feedback
I'm always adding to my stuff for sale, so do check my listings out to see if there's anything else of interest: (link here)
Phil"
People do seem to like this - get good feedback for this, also for my packing, which is usually bubble-wrap tightly taked round book then put in an envelope. Got great feedback for one which was acually put in half an envelope (I posted 2 mini language dictionaries using just obe envelope that day.
Now I'm off to try to figure out book loader, zshops, buyer waiting... Is there a Pro-Merchants "idiots guide" anywhere?
