  • I order from the catalogues rather than online as you get different offers, there is still the 3 for 2 on the jiffys in the catalogue till 4th feb.

The plastic mailers I use are w30-p25 (that'll be a catalogue code not an online one), they are 300 gauge and opaque, 250x 310mm and 100 cost £13.97. They are thin enough to put a small novel in 'longside' down and roll it around and then seal it, you can't do that with a jiffy that's too big any more as it makes it too fat for the slot

    Hi AT

Hate to be a pain, but do you have the catalogue no for D1 envelopes? I put w30-p25 in on the website and it brought up the mailers you were talking about. I wondered if the same would work for the mail lites + offer.

  • Hi there FFM

I really recommend asking for the Viking catalogues to be sent to you, you get one big master catalogue with everything in but every 10 -14 days you get a themed supplement, there will be 'packaging and warehouse' - 'filing and organising' -'best sellers' - 'paper supplies' and the ones I throw away are the janitorial, machines and furniture.

They all have special offers and each catalogue has items in that are in other catalogues, eg everyone of those (that I keep) will have ink cartidges and envelopes but what's best about them is you can pick through to find the best offer or best price to suit you

eg large bubbled bubblewrap - I can choose between

    £12.69 (best sellers)
£12.59, buy 3 and get a free drill (packaging and warehouse)
£12.99 buy 2 get one free (paper supplies)
    £12.69 on line

For me the 3 for 2 is the best deal out of the lot but you can see that it's nice to have the choice

The product code for the size D/1 3 for 2 jiffys is W30-ML1 priced at £18.79
  • I have a book to list that is in the Amazon database but with a mis-spelled title so it doesn't search by title at all (at least ebay will suggest a different spelling if it's close) so how will my willing and eager buyer find it? can I report the fault somewhere? by phone? email? will they even bother to correct it?
  • Good Morning AT :)

Thank you for such a detailed answer, the code does work and I asked for a catalogue on-line last night so will wait for that.

What it did highlight was that you use Mail Lite Plus and I only use Mail Lite, there's quite a cost difference there £20.20 per 100 as opposed to £12.49.

I haven't had any feedback related to the quality of my envelopes - as the majority of my feedback seems to focus on the speed of delivery (thank you Royal Mail).

    Anyway, thanks again FFM :)

There's a link at the bottom of the item page that says:

    Feedback
Would you like to update product info?

You then have to log in, but you can submit an update - I've done a few but have never checked back to see if they have happened - I'd like to think they have.

    SORRY - MAJOR ERROR!!

You're right, I gave the code for the Mail Lite Plus, I agree they are a bit too good for book use, the jiffys I use are the Mail Lite and they are 3 for 2 too. the code for those is W30 BL1

AT - if you scroll down to the bottom of the Product Info (where ISBN, publisher etc listed) on the book, there should be a link saying "update product info?". If you click on this, it gives you an option to update title, author etc. Never used it so not sure if they take any notice of it (but I guess they wouldn't put it there if they weren't going to!!)

    Hope this helps!!
