Too tired to have much of a useful opinion - sorry, but one thing occurs, you would need to be sure you wouldn't lose out on postage if you sold it as a 1p book. If its a hardback then it may be quite heavy??? Also some buyers will ignore 1p books or cheaper books with no descriptions and details in favour of things like detail or offer to post next working day etc etc. Is it realistic to sell the book for 1p - if not and you are not in a hurry then list it more expensively and wait for the 1p one to sell [or do a refund]. hope that makes sense

Hi, thanks for that. You are right of course, I couldn't sell it at a penny - there are several dozen penny ones and no doubt more being listed weekly. It will become one of my ever-growing GreenMetropolis recycling pile.
Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.

Blimmin' heck. I've just had a buyer come back to me claiming I sent her the wrong book and can I sort it please. Except the book she claims I sent, not only do I not own it, I've never heard of it. I'm not a trader, just getting rid of my own junk, so it's not like I have stuff coming and going so it might have slipped my mind. my books are personal items, read and at least once loved.

Feels scammy to me. Can't see I have any comeback. Anyone had this, and if so how did you deal?

I have considered that mine might just be late and she's getting confused... I hope it's that.

Plus, is there a way to leave buyer feedback on Amazon? If she is a scammer I want to let the whole world know: and as a private seller I don't much care if she dumps on me in return.

I think that this sounds like an error to me, you've probably got it sorted out by now but if not I'd email and say that you have never heard of the book that you supposedly sent and see what comes back. That will get it sorted.
You can leave feedback, go to the transaction page but I'm sure that this is all OK, as you say - it was late at night, maybe a nightcap has been taken?...

Me too!!!! my target was totally ambitious never gonna meet it - hey ho:D
  • I hope I'm not going to come over as smug, but, I've surprised myself, I set a target of 100 not expecting to reach it as my sales had been dropping steadily off. As you can see from my sig I am already at 85, although more than half (46) have been brand new books. I also sold a puzzle on Amazon today :)

I listed over 80 BIN items on Ebay during their 5p listing day (included gallery for free - postage has to be included). I've already sold 12 items , 3 have been videos priced at £4.99 - £6.75 - that really surprised me - clearly Ebay buyers are not Amazon buyers, as I was more pricey on Ebay. Other items have included books - also priced higher than Amazon.

Thing is though, Ebay is too expensive to list on normal listing days, 'cos if you don't sell you still have to pay the listing fees - but at 5p a go I thought I couldn't go wrong.

    FFM :)
