Ive explained my story but you end up speaking to idiots in their call centre. Idiots who cant even understand clear english.

The couple of times I've spoken to Amazon I've got someone with a very charming Irish accent. I do see though from the seller boards that some calls do go overseas, which is a shame.

    Im sick of amazon.

I sold well over 300 items over the space of 5 years. My account got hacked so they closed it and made me set up a new account with a new address. I then sold something but simply forgot the email went to the other address and not my longterm primary email addy.

So theyve banned me from selling permenantly.

    Hi Kriss

That does sound rather harsh and it's probably worth trying again when you feel a bit calmer about it.

Are you phoning the Amazon Freephone number 0800 279 6620? That is the number I usually use and have never had a problem understanding the Customer Services Reps.

If you do decide to try again, remember, keep cool, calm and collected all the way through - even if their response is negative be persistant but do not lose your temper. If you remain calm and reasonable you may be able to turn it round. Ask to speak to someone senior who may have greater authority than the first rep you speak to.

It does sound rather unfair - so good luck and let us know how you get on.

    hiya

I was wandering what people do once they have dispatched a book, should I email the buyer to check they received it OK, it is acceptable etc, or should I just wait for feedback? What do the rest of you do?
  • I always email as soon as the book has been sent then the buyer knows to look out for it

I use the Amazon site to send them a despatch notice..all the details are already filled out and all I do is cut and paste my standard message. If you go into your recent sales there is a 'contact buyer' option, the templates are in there. I also now print out a packign slip and address label from the same place.

It only took me 8 months to realise I could do all that on Amazon :j

Vast majority of buyers don't leave feedback in my experience so I always email to thank them for the order + let them know its been sent. Quite a few email back to say they've received the item.
  • Hi new seller on amazon - and today i notice lots of my items for sale have gone from 1 to 0 (ie sold) and amazon have not updated my account or notified me of despatch info.

On amazon's notice board it states there has been a problem but now fixed

Anyone else having this problem thanks

Can get into my account now and see my listings but it won't let me into the 'Manage Your Orders' section of my seller account and that's where the details of sales are to be found even if Amazon haven't yet emailed them to you so they are obviously still having some probs :p
