Join the club - I've done it wth teapots on ebay (one was to australia and it cost me over £50 to get them both back to the proper owners, it eases the pain a little to talk about it.....:rotfl: :rotfl: ) and I recently did it with books, I went over the top to try and avoid bad feedback. I refunded both buyers and then paid their postage costs to get the books back to me and then paid the postage to them back to right owner, neither left feedback so that was good in the circumstances - you'd think that I'd learn from the teapot fiasco wouldn't you?:o :o

I have emailed them both (only one had emailed me)

I have said I will either-

Give them a full refund and payment for postage when then send it back

    or

Get the books back, send it back on and refund the postage they spent.

They are bloody heavy books as well, costs £1.70 second delivery

I just hope the second buyer doesnt try to fob me off and say they never recived it, I sent them a higher priced book and have to do a full refund :wall:

    O U C H ! I felt the pain of that one!

It would take me alot of talking to ease that amount of pain.

It was a couple of years ago and it still smarts a little when I think about it - it was my own silly fault by not labelling the parcel as soon as it was wrapped - I used to write the name of the item on the base of the box THEN print the labels, now I print the labels before packing the boxes.
On a busy day in my packing bay (kitchen) I pack around 20 china or similar items, a few military memorabilia items and around 3 or 4 books so I've tightened up my system so I hopefully won't have the problem again

G'damn it! Why doesn't that happen to me? I've had over a dozen books listed there for weeks now...

  • I wanted to dip my toe in the water with selling again after the big move and the big holiday. I took my Holiday setting off so i could list three book but it didn't even cross my mind that all my previous listing from over 3 months ago went back on.

I sold two of the three i listed and but one of my old stock as well. All my old books are piled up in random boxes in the garage so i had to spend 20 minutes with a torch last night trying to find it. Lucky i did but i learnt my lesson.

Can't really complain about three sales in 12 hours though!
