Still, I'm doing OK. I've listed about another 100 today of my own books, I'm being quite ruthless. I've also taken about 300 to the Oxfam book dump and have about another 100+ packed and ready to go. I've a couple of shelves clear now so am going to fill them with overflow books from downstairs before OH notices and fills them up!
No sales today though, but fingers crossed as there is still time.

He sounds like my dad who can't read the books he buys quick enough. We joke that we're going to hire someone to read them for him to tell him if they were good or not. Still, he'is very tidy and organised which helps and he lives alone.AMAZON MEMBERS CLUB - NUMBER 650 -
I am finding this thread takes ages to load. Is it just my computer? Can we have a new one AT please??
Anyway I have a book about a girl's experience as Jew in Germany. The ISBN comes up on Amazon but mine is the only copy - no buyer waiting unfortunately.
Bookfinder and Abe do not have any trace of it either. It is in really good condition and I have put it on at £50!!! Am I being a greedy git or do you think I should price it lower? It does seem to be rare.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I'm still sitting here listing and actually sold one book whilst I was still listing, so my total since going pro is up to 11.

Not at all, there are several hard to find books out there listed and selling in the £50 - £100 range.
Time will tell if you've listed it too high. Don't forget to check completed listings on Ebay as well - just on the off chance. Having said that, the markets are not the same, there are 1p books that sell for £5 on Ebay, and £30 books on Amazon that only reach £10 on Ebay.

I have a book that is listed on amazon.com so cant enter it on amazon.co.uk's catalogue. According to bookfinder there is only one other copy in the UK priced at about £50 and that is ex library one with some damage. Mine is pristine with very little damage and no marks but I dont know where to sell it for the best! Rather specialised music book from 1928.
Anyone know the best place to realise a good price for this please??0 -

Its still possible to list it on UK if you're pro-merchant you just have to be a bit tricky by mis-entering some initial info so it doesnt find the Amazon.Com listing then after the UK listing is created you can go back and amend the errors :rotfl:0 -
damn, Amazombie you are a genius!!!!
Thank you SO much as I have two or three like that - though the others aren't quite so valuable!0 -

Does anyone have a formula for working out what you will receive from amazon for selling books?
I know they take 86p plus 17.25% and an admin fee and give you £2.26 but in what order? e.g is the 17.25% taken from the postage credit or taken before that is added on? iirc the admin fee comes off the postage credit? I just can't work it out at the moment.
I want it so I can put the selling price into excel spreadsheet and have it automatically work out when I will receive so I can see if there is any money in it first before going through the listing process.
thanks in advance0
