I used this guy before Christmas to deliver a heavy book, it only cost £3.99

He was busy and subbed the work out to Parcel Force but his communication was brilliant inspite of the amount of work he was pulling in - I would defo use him again.

Many thanks FFM. The £3.99 price is brilliant! The only problem is that I know nothing about Ebay. I thought I was taking a huge risk by selling on Marketplace, a risk that has paid off mind you. I need to read more into Ebay but I will consider joining.
I always send my items First Class but it only costs 65p (video games). I know the majority of sellers here dispatch books so I understand why second class is used. If I sold books I would send using second class mainly due to low £2.28 postage credit.
I've had customers email me back thanking me for sending items to them. One customer recently emailed me to tell me that she received the item and praised me for the fast delivery. She also gave me 100% feedback. The delivery actually took FOUR days which I think is unacceptable for First Class. I expected that the item would have been received in two days max. She didn't seem fussed about it but I am. Most of the items I send seem to arrive the next day. I think the Royal Mail need to sort themselves out.
I always order from the Internet and I have not received five packages/letters in the last month. I assume they have been stolen (after watching Trevor McDonalds "Tonight" programme). One was a credit card bill of which I was subsequently charged a late payment fee of £12 for not paying my bill! I managed to clear this up with the bank though. My point is that sometimes even if you do send first class, it doesn't arrive on time.0 -
Hi im new to amazon, have just listed some dvds and they are showing in the closed page, I have books listed that are showing in open. should they all be listed in open? have I done something wrong?finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0

just sold another cd!! sold about 15 items in my first 14 days on amazon!!
with regards to the above conv about postage i have been doing everything second class, either on the day of purchase or next day at latest, as a buyer it doesnt bother me if i get 2nd class, as long as the effort has been made to despatch quickly, i am more concerned about the quality of packing to be honest, rather get it in 3 days on top condition than next day but knackered!
so if a seller has used more of the postage money towards better packing and only used 2nd class i think it is reasonable!
sorry to waffle!0 -

Hi FDF. Amazon Marketplace has not been working efficiently over the last seven days. Many listings are not appearing and closed listings are not appearing closed.
If you have just listed items then all of them should show in the "Your Marketplace Open Listings" page. Please check "View Your Recent Marketplace Orders" link to ensure that these items have not been sold. Also check "View your Amazon Payments account and billing history>View your Amazon Payments account summary" to see if any money has been deposited. Lastly, it would be worthwhile to type the names of your DVD's in Amazon search to see if they are still being listed. I hope this helps you.0 -
they are now appearing thanks! perhaps its not working efficiently because of all of us on the olympic challenge rushing to join all you people over on amazon!!!finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0

Re 2nd class postage, I always state on my listing that I dispatch next working day via Royal Mail 2nd class post, so if anyone argues, I can say that I did make it clear and they should have read it before they bought the item0

Hi Mishka
I would agree that it would probably have been posted on the Monday and that no matter 1st or 2nd you should have received it by now. Sounds like it's either not been posted or has got 'lost' in the post.
Does the feedback suggest that there are regularly problems with delivery times? Did you email via the Amazon website? The problem is that now it is the weekend again you may not get a response to further emails, I would say that if you have not heard from the seller by Tuesday or received the item you could contact Customer Services and then raise an A-Z Claim for a refund if they agree. They may also be able to give you the sellers phone number or they may phone on your behalf.
