    Hiah,
All the versions i tested for weezl are undaer the chickpea section. I am going to try a wheat free one hopefully later today and will then post about it on my blog. They are very tasty!

    WHEAT FREE SAVOURY BITES
I tried a flour free version and it just wasn't as nice as before. I would of had to double the garlic and chilli to make it take anything like the other version. Who would of thought flour would make so much difference in taste! Anyhow, next I will try one with doves farm wheat free plain flour and let you know how it goes. Got a few to eat first, so will probably be in a weeks time.

Well the party went well and so did the food. Needless to say plenty left over have got a condition like Nigella "never knowingly undercatered" so everyone went home with doggie bags and i have some stuff to freeze for a later day.
Murrell sorry your wheat free bites werent as tasty not having allergies im afraid i cant offer any constructive help but maybe someone else will come along with a suggestion or two.
Tylersbabe let us know how the onion and potato soup goes it went down well here at chez shanks and as potty says try the mushroom soup so easy but tastes very expensive xx

I have still not emptied my freezer :D

In fact, it's actually somewhat fuller now as it has been recently, as I have been batch cooking for the next 8 weeks and using up the storecupboard in the process. The irritating thing is that, despite having an obscene amount of food in, I still have to go shopping a couple of times a week for DD, and have not been coming in that much under budget for all that, either.... Still, at least she's eating, that's what matters :)

As its coming up to easter and I spotted St Clements cake on the shop shelves I had an idea, marmalade cake + lemon icing = St Clements cake  I put half the cake batter in a loaf 'tin' and half as muffins/cupcakes they went down a storm when I met up with mse mummy friends last week :D

Me too! Unfortunately I also suffer from "never knowingly under-eaten!" Glad the party went well and hope your mother wasn't too 'shocked':p

Sami Bee- that sounds delicious, I bet they were especially lovely as cupcakes.

Making the shepherdess pie tonight for the first time, very easy and smells good so far:)

just saw a lovely recipe for CFR/this thread: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/pumpkin_pan_fry_04397

good for using up any leftover butternut squash from the risotto? Frugalise by simplifying the herbs (maybe just choose 1), only using a tiny bit of bacon and of course slightly stale normal bread in place of ciabatta! I think I will definitely try it next time Aldi does BNS as their super 6 (they do every month or so for a bargainous 69p!).
